We were approved and now we are waiting for the visa to be sent to the consulate near us. Update: it took only 3 business days for the passport to arrive at the consulate near us for pickup. We then entered the US on the 13th of November after our two year anniversary so that we could be issued an IR1 visa instead of a CR1 visa with conditions and having to go through this whole process with the USCIS again in 2 years. Now we are just waiting on the physical green card to arrive in the mail. We received the social security number 1 week after arrival in the US. But with the passport with visa you are able to work and get state IDs and all that jazz. Update 1/26/24: His green card arrived on Saturday but it has the wrong category. It says CR1 instead of IR1. We entered the United States AFTER our two-year marriage anniversary so he should have been issued an IR1 visa, 10 year green card and he wasn't. I filed an I-90 to get this corrected but I'm not sure how long this will take. USCIS website says the average processing time for an I-90 is 23 months??? His green card will expire before then if it truly does take the 23 months to process. So we're kind of in a limbo right now trying to figure out what to do next, but also twiddling our thumbs waiting for something to happen. Update 2/23/24: A week after we filed the I-90 we got a letter in the mail letting us know that we had an appointment on the 6th of February at our local USCIS office. We went there on the 6th and they took his fingerprints and a photo and told us that we should be receiving an updated green card in the mail soon and that once we got the new green card, they would ask for the old one back. On the 21st we got an update on USCIS that his card was being produced so now it's just a waiting game to see when it'll come in the mail and if they actually corrected the visa category on there! Update 03/12/24: His corrected green card arrived in the mail yesterday and this time it was actually correct. Showing his IR1 visa category. So now everything is correct!	2024-03-12

We then got married in person and submitted our official immigration application in October 2021. We tried many times to get expedite for USCIS and NVC, but it never worked. They moved when they wanted to move. NVC expedited a massive group all at the same time, ranging from Jan 2023 to May 2023 (we're March) on June 26, everyone in our chat group seemed to get an automatic expedite. The last NVC automatic expedite was in January with the same concept. This allowed us to choose our own Embassy Date. We did medical back in April to avoid issues with Sputum testing if needed (which is risky, because it could expire) but at this point it looks like we'll well meet the deadlines for Medical 6 months. We also signed up for the CFO early, and were told to come back when we had Visa in hand. It took like a week just to get their system to let us register. We started as CR1, the embassy automatically switched it to IR1 because we are over 2 years. Looking forward to interview and seeing my wife again! We lived together in the Philippines for almost the entire immigration process, so even though it's been over 2 years, we've been together most of that time so rather than being torturous, it has been a life changing experience, and caused me to transition careers to professional software development with the opportunity open to previous US military members to learn coding through VET TEC from abroad.	2023-07-03

The consular officer was friendly aside the embassy allowing the rains to lash us due to their inability to open their faulty gate leading to the interview room. The following questions were asked. How's your name pronounced? He couldn't pronounce my name when it was my turn?. What's your wife's name? Has she been married before, Have you been married before? After a while I was called at counter , American officer asked Who is calling you ? How did you meet? Where does your spouse lives ? Which place? What does the spouse do? What is his designation? What is the name of the company he works? When he came to India did he stay with you? How long did he stay? How many times did he come? What do you usually talk about? Is your culture same as his? How far is your husbands house from yours? What is common between you both? Where do you stay? How do you talk?(communicate) Does he send you money? Can you show your marriage album? Do have anything to show about chat history? Can you show the remittances proof? After looking at these he said “your visa is approved”!!!! You can pay green card fee in two three days and passport will be delivered to you in 3-4 days	2023-07-17
