I am an August filer and I recently got my NOA1. The status on my case says that on September 15th, they received my petition. Does anyone have an inference on how long the processing times are? A lot of people estimate that it will be 5-6 months but recently I've seen some posts stating that it's gone up to 9 (without any set backs). My Fiancee's from the UK and our case is being transferred to California Service Center. 

Just looking for some opinions :-)

Looks like they are processing some cases with date of May, 8 2017.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Times can certain change and every case is unique, but the current average for an I-129F is about 5 months. Some shorter, some months longer.

 

Then it takes about a month for it to go through NVC and to the embassy. Then the interview. So 7-9 months is a pretty reasonable estimate IMHO.

 

FYI - your case was not transferred. The Dallas lockbox is just where they take in the petitions...they are all processed at CSC now.

7 to 9 months for a K-1.........wow......it seems to me that CR-1s are becoming more and more practical (all things considered).

Yeah...even I was surprised when I last checked and it was up to 5 months for the I-129F. Only just now are some May 2017 filers hearing back.

It was 1 month expected when I applied on Dec. 1st, 2016 but started actually taking around 3 months and has grown since then.

CR-1 actually cost less in the long run as well.

Wedding expenses can be more or less than USA depending upon what country so need to factor that into the financial aspect as well.

The one thing they do process really fast is your payment...

pa·tient  - able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
