I am curious about logistics: if the reason was something trivial, why the denial? If something serious, how would the re-filing have fixed it?

Unless, of course, the reason for denial was not enough relationship evidence, if which case it is obvious that extra visits and more proof is the solution

Is it the only reason for denial?

No, but I have no idea what to think about this strange delay with RFE and trying to prepare for the worst.

We haven't seen each other in 8 months, and the idea of everything depending on who knows what is killing me:(

Thanks God you guys are ok i am sure . you are not the only one who is complaining, as i have seen few more. USCIS have transferred many petitions from TSC to CSC which has caused this interruption. hopefully you will hear good news coming week. don't loss hope , i am sure you will be ok. best wishes

Thank you! This is what I try to think, but then I see RFEs being approved withing a week even now, considering transfer of cases, and I lose hope. I mostly think that they lost some documents or something else ridiculous and it will result in a huge delay...

We were denied by a power tripping CO who used theses words after he told them what my degree was in, what type of work I do and the company I work for.

" If you want me to give you a visa you need to tell me the details of what she is working on at the moment "

I went to the security rep at work and reported an attempt at espionage. Second interview went much smoother . Co at least report was transferred and working of B2 visas.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Sorry for your delay, the entire process from start to finish is incredibly stressful. If you are denied(and I'm hoping not), before refiling you need to find out the reason for denial. If you were to re-file and didn't address the original reason for the denial the second petition would have the same end result. Good luck and hopefully soon you will get your NOA2

Your timeline is still way within the expected process timeframe. Relationship evidence is NOT considered at this time, that's for the Embassy CO to determine.

Why does your happiness depend on VISA? You can always move over there where she is at. My happiness does not depend on getting visa or not. If by any chance they will deny my petition I will say good bye to U.S. and leave to live with her. What you are saying that your happiness depends on getting a visa? dude.. if you really love her you would be willing to move there.

And this is why people should not make these kinds of statements without knowing anything...

1. I am not a dude. I am a female.

2. I have kids, career, and custody agreements and I can't just move back to my home country (yes, I am naturalized USC).

Not everyone can up and move so easily no matter how much they love their fiance. I am a single mom of 6. It is not in my children's best interest to leave the USA to live in Egypt. So what do I do? What is best for my children or what is best for myself and fiance? I also must adhere to custody agreements and that would be impossible in Egypt.
