My spouse is about to do the visa interview in Seoul, South Korea. While reading other people post, it seems like my spouse might be asked for one during the interview. Here is our current situation: 1) My spouse (beneficiary) is a Korean national. 2) She studied/lived in Australia for 11 months. 3) We passed the NVC stage because I wrote a letter with a picture of the instructions stating she doesn't need one because she lived in Australia for 11 months. 4) She lived in Australia in 2002 5) She doesn't have any ties to Australia except some certificates. 6) We are currently residing in South Korea. Just encase she gets asked for one in the interview for one, we want to be ready. Also, I also read other people who got the Australian Police Certificate had a lot of issues because the NVC didn't accept it even though they followed the instructions. I have a couple of questions: 1) How does she get the 100 points of identification when she only has a Korean passport? What other documents can I upload that will be accepted? 2) Do I have to click number "33 - Immigration/citizenship"? 3) Can I submit a digital copy?

Hi Team, I have my interview on 11th October at Sydney Consulate and will be staying with my cousin and getting the train into the city for 9.30am Interview. I have compiled all the documentation for the interview and would like some tips on how to organise the documentation so its easy to hand over to the interviewer and give them the specific documents they are requesting. I know we are not allowed to use a folder or clear files etc, but did anyone put like removable sticky notes on the documents as tabs to easily find each of the documents they wanted for example? I'm thinking of dividing it up with cover pages for each section and using bull dog clips for each section 1. K1 Cover sheet with civil documents and photocopies, DS160 confirmation page, receipt of fee payment, police certificates, passport, passport photos, etc. 2. I 134 Financial support form and evidence 3. Evidence of relationship Please let me know if you have any feedback. Thank you, Anushka

Hey guys, just checking in to see if any Australian’s waiting on an IR1 interview have recently left the NVC? I’ve seen a number of K1 visas have been sent out but no word from any IR1 applicants. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hi, I am a New Zealand Citizen living in Australia and my partner is the US Citizen living in the states. We have applied for a K1 visa and had our NOA1 on 29 March 2021. We recently got NOA2 and were transferred to NVC about a month ago but now have realised that due to Sydney being closed and not taking any more applications we are stuck at this stage. NVC said they cannot give us the invoice to pay our fees and proceed until sydney says they will take more applications as they are still working through the backlog when they reopen. What I am wondering is - does anyone have any idea of the timeframe to reopen? As I am a New Zealand Citizen, I could also move back to New Zealand and do my interview there. Another question I have is what do I need to do to prove 'residency' in New Zealand. the auckland embassy says they will not accept my application until I actually move countries to NZ and am resident there but are very vague as to what evidence to provide to show residency. Has anyone made a move like this before? What did you provide? Also does anyone have any general advice for us on whether to stay put in Australia and wait for Sydney or actually quit my job, give up my home, car etc, and move to NZ and live with my parents waiting for an interview there. Thank you, Anushka
