  1. Hi Team, I have seen a lot of previous posts and posts from other countries talking about filling in the cover sheet for the visa interview. What are people talking about? I emailed Sydney Embassy and asked if my documents are meant to go in a particular order and this is what they sent me: You may use the following as guidance: Passport Photos x2 (print your full name & A# on the back of each photo) MRV Fee Receipt of Payment DS-160 Confirmation Page Revalidation Letter Name change certificate / Translation Australian citizenship certificate Birth / Identity / Unobtainable certificate / Translation Divorce / Death certificate / Translation Australian Federal Police certificate Other Country police certificate(s) / Translation Country From date (mmm-yyyy) To date (mmm-yyyy) 1. 2. Court Documents / Translation Military / Exemption Certificate / Translation I-134 / Supporting Documents Medical Exam Attended/Scheduled Date: DD-MMM-YYYY USCIS's pamphlet: Read this information before your interview But they didn't send me any cover sheet I am meant to use. I am very confused! Thank you, Anushka
  2. Hi Everyone, this is how I have organised my paperwork for the interview - please let me know if you think I have missed anything! Thanks so much
  3. Hi - I just sent it to US Embassy Sydney. Make sure when you get the police certificate you choose code 33 as the reason, not code 35. US embassy Sydney is SydneyIV@state.gov All the best - that is really frustrating i hope you are able to show them that it is the right document.
  4. Email I received today from Sydney Embassy, I think they are trying to make sure everyone gets the right police certificate. Have you applied for the CORRECT Australian Federal Police Certificate? Many applicants apply for their Australian Federal Police certificate without following our specific instructions. Get it right the first time and you will avoid delays in processing your application. It MUST state “Immigration/Citizenship – Australia” If your Australian Federal Police Certificate does not state “Immigration/Citizenship – Australia”, please apply for a new Australian Federal Police Certificate, by selecting “33 -Immigration/Citizenship – for Supply to the Department of Home Affairs”. National Police Checks | Australian Federal Police (afp.gov.au) We look forward to processing your application on the day of your scheduled interview. Regards, Visa Services (cc) U.S. Consulate General | Sydney, Australia
  5. Hi Team, I emailed Sydney embassy and asked what order I should put my documents in for the interview and this was their response: Thank you for your email. You may use the following as guidance: Passport Photos x2 (print your full name & A# on the back of each photo) MRV Fee Receipt of Payment DS-160 Confirmation Page Revalidation Letter Name change certificate / Translation Australian citizenship certificate Birth / Identity / Unobtainable certificate / Translation Divorce / Death certificate / Translation Australian Federal Police certificate Other Country police certificate(s) / Translation Country From date (mmm-yyyy) To date (mmm-yyyy) 1. 2. Court Documents / Translation Military / Exemption Certificate / Translation I-134 / Supporting Documents Medical Exam Attended/Scheduled Date: DD-MMM-YYYY USCIS's pamphlet: Read this information before your interview I am a New Zealand Citizen living in Australia and therefore do not have an Australian Citizenship certificate as I am not a citizen. Why have they asked for this document? Is there something else I should be taking instead? Also what do they mean by Court documents? Thanks, Anushka
  6. I emailed Sydney Embassy and this was their response: Thank you for your email. Court Documents / Translation Military / Exemption Certificate / Translation I-134 / Supporting Documents Medical Exam Attended/Scheduled Date: DD-MMM-YYYY USCIS's pamphlet: Read this information before your interview I have reorganised my paperwork to be in this order. I am wondering though - I am a New Zealand Citizen living in Australia, therefore I do not have an Australian Citizenship Certificate. What is this for? I have never seen this requested in the K1 required documents before. Would I need my Australian Vevo check to show I have a visa here? Also what do they mean by Court documents? Thanks, Anushka
  7. wow amazing! thank you so much - hope we get a quick turnaround like you guys did. lol I sold my house in March thinking this was going to happen a lot faster, and have put in my resignation for the 21st eek. Good to hear some success stories from Sydney Consulate!
  8. I am in the process of getting a K1 visa to join my US based partner and last week on Monday 29th I went in for my medical. I chose Sonic Health due to the location being in the city by parliament station and it being more convenient for me to get to. The instructions from Sonic health were very clear on what to bring to the appointment in relation to vaccination records, passport, and 4 passport photographs 5cmx 5cm. They did not need a copy of the DS160 as i had emailed that and the interview confirmation letter to them. I had reached out to Sonic health about 8 months ago to ask what the vaccination requirements were and went ahead and got my GP to do a blood serology to check all my vaccination levels. I figured if I had low levels in anything, I might as well do it through the GP and it would be cheaper than paying for it at the Medical. On the day of my medical, I got to the clinic and was requested to fill in a few details on a clip board and then four PDF documents on a computer screen with my name, passport details, and some medical details where required. I then waited in the reception area until a nurse came to collect me to check my height, weight, blood pressure, and eye sight with and without my glasses on. She also took a blood sample to test for syphilis which is one of the Medical requirements. As I am above the age of 24, there was no need for a test for gonorrea (apparently they only test for this for 18 - 24 year olds). I then went back to the reception area and waited for a while, maybe 1 hour at this point. Then the doctor Stuart Turnbull came to collect me and we discussed my vaccination records. As my early baby vaccinations were eligible on the card I had, he was very happy that I had also done a serology with my GP to check my vaccination requirements as he could rely on this as well rather than just on my handwritten baby vaccinations from my home country on a pink card. This meant that I did not need to get any vaccinations at my US Visa Medical as I was completely up to date, which apparently is rare. The doctor then asked me if I had ever had chicken pox, which I had, so that was fine and then he asked me to sit on the bed and he listened to my breathing from my back, tapped my knee with a hammer to check my reflexes, and got me to lay down and felt my abdomen and legs over my clothes. He was very professional and friendly. After that was over and he had photocopied any documents he needed, he sent me back to reception where I paid the $580 and they gave me a referral to take to IMED radiology which is down on collins street (just take the tram down bourke street) and I waited at IMED For a little bit. There was some confusion as they hadn't emailed through my Visa documentation so the receptionist called Sonic health to ask for that and they sent it through right away. I waited about half an hour before I got called in for the chest Xray. I was given a robe to change into and had the chest xray and then left. I got emailed my chest xray results at the end of the week and on Friday got an email from Sonic Health to say my medical was ready to be picked up. The following monday (7 days after my medical) I picked up my Medical in a sealed envelope and my Xray CD and a copy of my DS3025 which is my own vaccination record which I will need in the states when doing my adjustment of status. Sydney Embassy has confirmed that I do not need to post the medical to them, I just hand carry it and bring it to the Interview with the X ray CD. Overall I had a very pleasant experience doing my Medical and highly recommend them and the doctor. Reading the other reviews on the Visa Journey Forums of the clinic in Toorak and the other doctor on the panel, I am very grateful that I chose to go to Sonic Health.
  9. Thank you! that makes so much sense given it is still sealed etc. Not sure why the receptionist at Sonic Health told me I would need to post it to the embassy, really confused me. thanks!
  10. The link to Required Documents takes me this page https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#5 My question was more around is that meant to be the order that you put everything in? and do you sticky note the pages to create tabs to easily refer to the right stuff? do you bull dog clip the whole lot together? Can the I 134 form be stapled together with all the evidence to support that form?
  11. Hi everyone thanks so much for your help - I reached out to Sydney Consulate and they said I don't need to post it to them, I just bring it with me to the interview as is. Thanks so much!
  12. Hi Team, I have my interview on 11th October at Sydney Consulate and will be staying with my cousin and getting the train into the city for 9.30am Interview. I have compiled all the documentation for the interview and would like some tips on how to organise the documentation so its easy to hand over to the interviewer and give them the specific documents they are requesting. I know we are not allowed to use a folder or clear files etc, but did anyone put like removable sticky notes on the documents as tabs to easily find each of the documents they wanted for example? I'm thinking of dividing it up with cover pages for each section and using bull dog clips for each section 1. K1 Cover sheet with civil documents and photocopies, DS160 confirmation page, receipt of fee payment, police certificates, passport, passport photos, etc. 2. I 134 Financial support form and evidence 3. Evidence of relationship Please let me know if you have any feedback. Thank you, Anushka
  13. Thanks Loren, in the email from Sonic Health it said 'For interstate candidates who are applying for a K-1/Diversity Visa, please note that the medical will be posted out to you once it has been completed and it is your responsibility to forward that on to the consulate. If you do require express posting, please ensure that you have one ready when you come in for your medical with us." As I am living in Melbourne maybe they asked me to come pick it up from the office. The doctor did mention when he saw me - dont open the envelop, post it as it is or the medical will be considered invalid, so I think i am meant to post the copy I get from Sonic Health to the Medical but will double check with them thanks. I plan to the US within 2-3 weeks of finishing my interview so should be okay re expiry of the medical, thank you for explaining though
  14. Gosh I have seen some bad reviews of this doctor Ogralik. I went to Dr. Stuart Turnbull at Sonic health who was much better - really nice and friendly and very easy to talk to - highly recommend. So sorry you had to go through that OP.
  15. Hi Team, I am picking up my medical today from Sonic Health and will need to post it to Sydney Embassy. Am I supposed to do registered post and if so who do I address it to and who signs for it at the embassy? Do I post it to Suite 2 Millar street address? My interview is on 11th October so I have a bit of time don't need to post it right away but would like to get it done asap. Thanks for your help. Anushka
