and I forgot where I read but they was saying they start to work already at files received on february! xFAILx. we send on January and still didnt get the noa2

Texas hasn't started to be slow. There are still quite a few November filers waiting for their NOA2's, and I would bet some October filers as well. It's a good thing they're actually staying within the 5-month processing time, for the most part, and we're not waiting the 8+ months some folks had to wait a couple of years ago.

And I see you have a civil wedding planned for a little over 2 months from now? How are you going to pull that one off?

Average processing time for an I-129F petition is 5 months. You are at 2 months and well within normal processing time still.

I don't mean to be harsh, but they are simply giving you and your fiancee time to change your minds. The CIS system is for identifying fraud and people who will lie to get to the next step. Remember, you are not the first people who have filed an I-129F; they have seen fraud you could nevr dream of... (examples- Russian/Eastern Euro immigrants between 1992-1994).

There are no shortcuts. Follow the VJ timeline flowchart and all will be OK. Be patient, you and your fiancee are changing your entire lives, and USCIS does not want any US citizen to be led to fraud. Impatience looks suspicious...

The processing times are not due to them sitting around on their hands waiting to see if you give up on your petition. The service centers have multitudes of various petition types to process. They give an estimated time it should be processed by, which is typically 5-6 months. Sometimes petitions are processed quicker or slower than that. It depends on when an adjudicator picks up your file from their workload and begins to work through it. They do not wait on purpose to see if you change your minds. They do not try and decide if your relationship is real or not. They are only concerned with whether or not you meet the requirements of the petition itself, and if all the required documentation was supplied according to the I-129F petition instructions. The consulate will decide if your relationship is fraudulent when you later apply for the K-1 visa.

We mailed our I-129 petition in October, with the exception of NOA 1 and a posting on the Case Status website indicating that they assigned an alien registration number to the beneficiary there have been no updates to our case. Very disappointing to us after all the work we put into gathering information and assembling the I-129F petition. Our immigration counselor was confident our petition was without fault.

The kindness we give to others may never be recognized by the ugly souls we encounter in the vast jungle of humanity, but what we give will echo brilliantly in the smiles of those who have received it.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding
