Did they review your docs? So you are saying that your scan date is OCT 28 and your documents got reviewed ? I thought they are on OCT 20. So is NVC looking at OCT 28 ?

No, they are not on Oct 28 yet - they're on Oct 20 and maybe 21. She got a false checklist that is generated when the DS-260 gets reviewed. Nothing to do with scan dates.

Anyone else waiting for a decision on their expedite request? Ours has been sent out over three weeks ago. I didn't think expedites took so long to receive a decision.

You called and asked them about it? I had to specifically ask have you heard back from the embassy regarding my expedite.

Hello everyone, happy holidays and I hope you are all keeping your sanity during this time of year!

I just received something addressed to my husband, the applicant. I resubmitted the AOS fixing my gross income (never mind they had the numbers right in front of them, but anyways...). I was living and working in Japan, therefore although I made good money they don't consider it in American taxes and so my numbers where 0 for the past 2 years.

Well, I am trying to support him on assets alone. This is purely checkings and savings and I have 3 x the amount above the poverty line in my bank in America, and another 2x the amount in my bank in France. It clearly states I only need 3x the amount for sponsoring a spouse, am I right?!

I just got this from the NVC:

The NVC has received the information you have submitted in reference tothe Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will makea decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. Inorder to avoid delays, you may wish to submit an additional Affidavit ofSupport (Form I-864) for a/another Joint Sponsor to the National VisaCenter to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants.

Does this mean he will get an interview and they will then decide?? It seems that way. We do not have the possibility of a joint sponsor. I also now have a good paying job that I got after we filed the AOS. I would assume it would be ok to have a letter written by my employer saying when I started and what my wages are, along with paystubs to prove further he can be supported.

This is so frustrating.

If anyone has had a similar letter or experience with this please give me advice on what our best steps would be. I really need some advice. I am wondering, too, if we get an interview (which this nvc email implies) that I might need to join him for it if it would help.

I had an expedite filed 3 months ago, it took them 75 days to review it and I got denied. I am not saying that's what's gonna happen to you. Hopefully you get approvd.

Your are right, He is always with us! I need to relax and let it be . . . . :)

Yes, the AOS changing to N/A is a good sign as many have said that is a sign of CC. You usually receive the email from NVC confirming the CC 7 days after it was actually completed. I don't know anything about the CEAC tracker though, sorry.

Thanks for the wise words. Ceac tracker will let you follow your paper work once we will have " CC " with our case.More over That's the best you r doing.... Let it happen smooth......God bless.

I believe everyone that tries qualifying on assets alone gets this letter. It's basically just saying that at the interview, the consular officer will ultimately decide if what you provided is enough. I'd suggest bringing an updated AOS to the interview with your new job information, as well as having the assets section filled out. So, bring that as well as an employment letter and all pay stubs by that time.

By the way, the interview they're talking about in the letter is the standard interview everyone gets, at the consulate/embassy.

Thank you so much Saylin, this really puts my mind at ease. I will make sure to fill out another AOS then.

I hope everyone here has a smooth process and a very happy holiday.

I just recieved the package. Our joint sponsor had ticked 'I m a US citizen' in part 11a. But it's written that mark 'I'm a US national' (for joint sponsors) I have checked that box as well. Should I use a whito on 11a or is it ok if both boxes are checked?
