When i called, the lady who answered was very descriptive.she said to bring 5 passport pictures, interview letter, and your vaccination records. Also if you take any medication to bring those. I already asked i take multi-vitamins and that isn't necessary. Also they give you, your results in 3 business days. Also she said something very interesting - YOU can come on the day of your interview and pick up your medical results that day. For example, say you get Dec 15 as your interview date. And lets say you schedule your medical for dec 1. it takes them 3 business days to get the results (hence ready by dec 5) which means you can come back to pick it up on Dec 5 or after, OR if you let them know, you can come say on Dec 14 (the day before your interview) or Dec 15 at 7 am and pick up the medical results and go straight for your interview. they are like 10 min walking distance from the US consulate. I only say this as it is upto you as you will have to drive one extra time if you guys come to pick up your results before. You choice. :goofy::goofy::goofy::goofy:

TargetNovember14 you are so on the ball with everything. You have it all covered. Thanks so much for the info I was trying to figure out what to do. I will wait for interview date to schedule it then. The suspense of the date is killing me.

Do you think I should do that? Or just because my embassy too busy so that why it took so long?

Your embassy is always backlogged like Egypt. Calling the embassy won't do anything for you since they don't have your file so how can they help you. in 2012 through part of 2013 it use to be 4 to 6 month wait after CC for Vietnam. So they have come along way.

Do you get a confirmation for that ?? Like P4 letter

no just a email from embassy saying that they rescheduled my wife's appointment date and time, and they ask her to tell her name to the guards at the gates that's it.

Just casually (anally) checking my ceac status and noticed it updated today. Wouldn't it have been lovely if we could have known someone was working on our case at Uscis and nvc.

Hey, just got interview confirmation, 9th December, yeyy!!

A little confused by the interview letter though. It says that I need to take all originals to interview including husbands (sponsor) tax returns etc, but then further down on the documents section where it gives the letter coded key It says that they have sent my documents to the embassy in the UK. So do I have to take everything AGAIN? Just want to make sure I take everything needed.

Thanks !

Congrats to all who just got good news, and wish the other good news soon.

I was wondering if one can request an early interview because she is pregnant and wants to join her husband sooner. I was told in one case that an immigration officer refused to issue the visa for a pregant immigrant, beause she was pregnant, until after she gives birth in her home country.

Anybody knows how true could be this story?

I dont think they would deny a pregant woman a visa to reunit with her husband because of the risk of flying in high altitude.

Have never heard of not issuing because the immigrant is too far along. The airlines makes the decision whether they will allow you on plan.

Requesting an earlier date with reason is up to you its not like requesting an expedite. Seeing your embassy already is so backlogged its highly unlikely but doesn't hurt to ask.

We are doing the medical tomorrow. 4am bus to Belgrade is not fun but we are happy to get it done and over with.

I looked on the website but there's no additional information for Belgrade. I checked the Belgrade Embassy site but couldn't find anything about the interview process. Most of the information on VJ is from K-1s so we just aren't sure, and it's not detailed at all. It is very stressful!

We just wish we knew if we need police certs and translations. We cannot get those the same day here in our town and it can takes a few days for both the official documents and translations. I just can't wait for this to be over! :bonk:

So you did all your processing through the embassy? You didn;t get Police certificates? That is required if you haven;t done so. Every country you lived in since age 16 for 1 year you must have.

I thought you were processed at NVC then expedited to embassy for more processing. But you have to supply the embassy with the same things you would have at NVC.

You have your AOS all done up and ready?.

I know someone personally whose wife was held back until after delivery to pickup her visa. She was not denied, but was postponed. The CO clearly asked her if she is planning to travel while pregnant, giving the fact that she was in late pregnancy. She answered that she's planning to give birth in Morocco. The CO shocked her by his brutal answer. The visa will be issued after labor.

Did you inbox Mike and Nesa and ask them what was asked for at interview? I would say you will just have to ask for the letter checklist of items. But I know you need a police certificate.
