Hey everybody, I have been quite on this thread and been just reading and learning

I just wanted to say that, I dont know what I would do without visajourney on dealing with the whole visa. And want to say thank you to all of you for the advices, help and information I got and a big thanks on all, who taking care of that website you re doing a great job

Congrats to everybody who got approved and good luck to those with an interview appointment

Also wanted to say that I was able to schedule my interview appointment today, thank god for November 19 I still cant believe I got my appointment in 7 days

My interview was scheduled on 10/31 but it still shows "At NVC"...

I think you really don't have to worry about these things... its the job of NVC to send your file on time for the interview.. I think only few from India in this forum.. there are many who attend the interview everyday without knowing where there file is .. . If you already have P4 letter then get done with medical .. create your profile and make appointment for biometrics... show up on the day .. don't just waste your brain for these things...

I called this morning and got my interview date Thank God : Dec 30th @ 8am. I will probably try to get an early one... if possible!

Do you guys know if we can request an early interview date before our case is at the Consulate or do we have to wait until they get it ?

Do I need to get a new birth certificate, police certificate and court records from all the countries I lived in? Note that I've already submitted originals to NVC

You shouldn't have to but check with people from your country check the info page for your country check the embassy website.

Does you no good to request before your case is there there's no record of you until your petition gets there.

I have found my package through DHL tracking. My CEAC status showed "In Transit" on Monday 11/10.

dwheels, does each principal applicant asked to bring same visa interview documents or is it different for every case?

I know everyone has to take their passport pics, valid passport, medical. I am curious about other documents such as evidence of relationship. I know someone who has been asked to take the scan copies of AOS package submitted at NVC but my wife hasn't been asked to bring scanned copies of AOS package. They only ask her to bring photocopy of civil documents.

People take what they feel will help their case. This is the time that people who didn't sen in much at USCIS or NVC bring at interview. Whether the CO wants to see or will even ask no on knows. But better to have and not need.

I know for Lagos CO's always are asking for pics and phone logs. Your embassy you should really review the interviews and see what people are saying. They are a great service.

Whatever presented to NVC you shouldn't have to have. Look at your own personal checklist and see what is missing if anything.

If anything needs updating, i.e., I-864 this is the time to do.

I asked before but, I want to make sure. NVC keeps telling me they are waiting on interview date. If I call DR embassy directly do you think they can help me out? Or it's best just to wait for NVC.

The embassy has no record of you so they won't be able to do anything for you. You can call just for kicks see what they say.

what a pain my status in NVC says AP like shouldnt it say approve? since the embassy told me I was approved! I hope it changes! I guess is taking 2 weeks to get the visa here because of national holidays I just hope I get it by next week as I was told if not Ill panic and

Every Visa goes into AP. Its administrative processing. They are doing admin work. Some a few days some a day. It will say issue in due time. If they said approved no worries.

Our interview is in 6 days.

Our case was expedited on October 17th, shipped to Belgrade Embassy and since then we haven't gotten any emails or snail mail. I finally called last Friday, Belgrade doesn't seem to like answering emails, and was told that not only did they receive our case from NVC but that our interview date is on November 19th and we will receive the interview packet soon. The man told me the packet was posted to our house (4 hours drive south) on Nov. 6th. We are still waiting on the mail to come. I called the embassy again today to inquire about the packet and once again was met by the rude man that told me I have plenty of time, just to wait. I asked if I could get it emailed to me or if I could come pickup a copy of it at the embassy but he said no. Six days is not "plenty of time" if I need to get more official papers and translations.

Can anyone tell me about their interview packet for a IR1/CR1 visa? Did they ask for another updated police and/or court certificate? Does the Embassy require translations? We are doubled minded because of the cost. If we need it then I would like to apply for the police certs tomorrow, but it is a lot of money for us if it is not necessary. HELP!?

Your interview package is just the interview letter and maybe a list of panel doctors. Unless your embassy has some specific requirements( Look at the website).

Now since you went through embassy I don't know if they have the nice checklist of what you submitted and what they still need. So that is the big ??

Because there have been people who go through NVC submitted documents submitted AOS and was asked to bring this and that to interview. So I can understand abit if anxiety since you are 1 week away.

Guys!! I m in absolute and complete shock!!! Got our interview date and I still can't believe It!! Dec 8!!!!! I m Sooo happy and excited. I wasn't expecting anything before 20th dec!!! Now if inshAllah interview goes well I can spend New Years with husband. V excited ))) our cc was nov 4th!

My husband's interview at the Paris embassy went well today, and he was approved!!

We will have the visa in hand within 10 business days. I'll post a review in a little bit.

Ok listen I am so excited that I just cant hide it. lol I have my interview for Dec 9th. thank God. Jose&Ive wrote to me and told me to call which I did and they just gave me the appt.

My case was complete at the NVC today. I did not receive an interview date because the embassy is not scheduling anymore December interviews. Can anyone provide information on this scenario? How long can I expect to wait for an interview?
