Well I think the paper I-797C is the receipt, and I just chek my case it says that they did send my fingerprint apoitment on 14 November , probably the mail man miss my NOA, is it very important to get the NOA?, becouse I will go in a trip to London on december, if the mail man losed it how I can get it another, thanks

No the white paper I-797C is the NOA. It used to be on good bond type of paper, probably USCIS is printing on these flimsy looking white paper to save money. Mine is too the same as yours.

No the white paper I-797C is the NOA. It used to be on good bond type of paper, probably USCIS is printing on these flimsy looking white paper to save money. Mine is too the same as yours.

I'm glad to see there are people already receiving their NOAs. This week went by and my application seems to be lost. The USPS has not been of any help, they only said to "wait it out, give it a few days". It doesn't matter that I paid more to send it Priority.

I may wait it out this week and if I don't receive my NOA, I'll go ahead and cancel the money order and send my application again.

That is a major drag.

May I suggest that you use UPS or FedEx when you resend? USPS seems to have deteriorated majorly over the past few years. I could tell you stories...luckily, none of them about immigration forms, since I just don't trust them with anything mission-critical....

I will update my timeline sometime before Monday when I figure all this out.

My DO is Pittsburgh, PA and I have a question for JON and SOL

I saw your DO is Pittsburgh too so I was wondering if you will know the answer to my question.

Do you know if interviews are done before the 5 year GC anniversary or its the oath that has to be done

At the time where you have celebrated your 5 yr GC anniversary ?

I do not believe they will schedule you for an interview before your 5 year anniversary (or in our case, 3).

You can be scheduled for an interview before your 5yrs but oath for sure will be on or after your 5yrs due date.

I had never had any issues with them until now, but I will most likely use UPS when I send it again. However, it turns out we may be moving sooner than we thought, so I may be filing in December once I'm at our new place that way I don't have to worry about changing our address. We'll find out this week hopefully...

01 Nov 2013 - Sent naturalization package

18 Feb 2014 - Oath ceremony done, naturalization complete!!

Has anyone tried to do a walk-in for their biometrics? Just wondering if you can do it for a citizenship application as well. I got my biometrics appt. letter and would prefer to do it on an earlier date if possible.

AOS timeline:

1st March 2010 - AOS packet received at Chicago (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765)
9th March 2010 - Checks cashed
12th March 2010 - All 4 NOA's received
19th March 2010 - Applications touched biggrin.png
19th March 2010 - Received Biometrics letter for 2nd April
2nd April 2010 - Biometrics done
19th April 2010 - Received interview letter for May 21st biggrin.png
6th May 2010 - All applications touched. Status of I-765 changed to document production, status of I-131 changed to post decision activity.
10th May 2010 - Received approved AP in mail
21st May 2010 - AOS Interview, IO said he will approve the case... waiting for Green card smile.png
27th May 2010 - Received EAD card

You can actually do it, only that some will require your reason(s) of doing early walk in and also depend on how busy they are.

Some will not ask you for anything, if they are not busy, so give it a trial everyone.

May 20, 2013: I-130 Sent

May 22, 2013: Priority Date

May 28, 2013: NOA1 Received

Aug 08, 2013: NOA2 Approved

Aug 12, 2013: NOA2 Hard copy received

NVC Track:

Aug 26, 2013: NVC received file

Sept 05, 2013: NVC Case # and IIN assigned

Sept 09, 2013: DS-261 (Choice of Agent) completed online

Sept 10, 2013: Received AOS via email and paid ($88)

Sept 11, 2013: AOS ($88) shows paid on NVC

Sept 12, 2013: AOS Package sent to NVC, delivered (Sept 16, 2013) & AOS Package accepted (Oct 11, 2013)

Oct 07, 2013: Received IV Invoice and paid ($460), rejected and payment re-submitted (Oct 17, 2013)
