OK, has anyone in here applied for AOS for a K-1 with just a copy of DS-3025 and without the I-693?

on my wive's DS-3025 in the results section, the following boxes are checked:

Vaccine History incomplete

Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver because vaccinations are not medically appropriate.

I am guessing at this time we can just submit the DS-3025 (and not do the I-693) for the AOS and the "incomplete vaccination" will have to be done sometime in the future?

PLease advise if you can

THanks,

D

This is something that I have been on pins and needles about since I filled for AOS. When I did all the research into it a few years ago, there were people who actually got an RFE over the DS-3025. That being said I took a chance and filled the DS-3025. Has long has the medical was done within one year of filling for AOS, you should be ok. I have not heard of anyone actually getting a RFE over this in quite some time. I went back to some posts going back to 2010 when this was a hot topic on these fourms, and all the people and timelines i checked showed no RFEs when they submitted with just the DS-3025.

Has long has the medical is done within one year of filling and the blanket waiver box is checked, I think and hope we all should be ok.

When the vaccinations weren't given because of age, then ds-3025 is as complete as it gets. There are people who still get an RFE however that's mostly because USCIS is (in)famous for misplacing the medical record.

Anyways, if you're only including the ds-3025, I'd suggest that you on your cover letter for AOS put "copy of unexpired ds-3025"

I attached a fraction of my cover letter in case you're going with that idea. We had no RFE.

If all the required vaccinations were complete at the time of the medical and marked off on the DS-3025, then yes, you can just send a copy of the DS-3025 and skip the civil surgeon. See this post for the details about what needs to be marked off on the DS-3025: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/335754-ds-3025-complete-or-not/page__p__4971318#entry4971318

I was in the same case, sent off only a copy of my DS-3025 to my AOS package, and the "vaccination record was incomplete but eligible for a blanket waiver" too. No problem for AOS, no problem at interview, AOS approved.

BUT

You need to know why the doctor ticked this case. If it's a required vaccine missing, then you need to see a civil surgeon in the US. If it's because you have some age inappropriate vaccines (my case), then no need to see a civil surgeon and a copy of the Ds-3025 will be fine.

My husband had his complete medical done in Santo Domingo before our appointment at the consulate. We submitted the AOS 485 and we just received an RFE for a missing vaccine. The tetanus vaccine was marked as "not readily available" or something to that effect. We went to a civil surgeon and got the vaccination. The doctor reviewed the previous vaccination form (we had a copy from the original medical) and filled out the supplemental vaccination portion of the 693. Hopefully this is satisfactory to USCIS.

Yes, if you are missing any of the required vaccines, then you need to get those and see a civil surgeon to have page 1 and the vaccination page of the I-693 filled out.

My husband never received a DS-3025 form, nor did they even ask to see his vaccination records. Now what? Just bring the records to a civil surgeon here to have them fill out the 693?

Yes. Try this thread to find one that won't insist on an unnecessary new medical: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/231026-civil-surgeons-who-dont-rip-you-off/
