Here's what you need to do first. You need to go read VJ guides. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_bring_your_foreign_spouse_to_live_in_the_US Read it 20 times tonight.

For now, I assume you have your NVC case number. You goal is to obtain the Invoice Identification Number. You can wait for NVC to mail/email you the IIN or you can call NVC and beg them to give you the IIN. Let's say you called and got your IIN. You go over to http://ceac.state.gov/ctrac. Using your NVC case number and IIN, you can log in to this site. Then you will see two things. AOS and IV. It will probably show the status "Not Invoiced." You can't do sh** until you AOS or IV is invoiced. When they are invoice (at the same time or or one at a time,) pay the fee. Wait for the STATUS to show PAID. When that happens, you can print the cover-sheet for each of these things and mail the package along with supporting documents.

Meanwhile, I'm sure you have emailed NVC your DS3032 using the VJ format. If you haven't, do it right now. At this very instant. It is believed that your fees (AOS and IV) won't be invoiced until NVC has your DS3032 in file. I don't believe this but you need to finish up the DS3032 business right away. As soon as you have your NVC case number.

Hello. How did you know that NVC recieved your uscis docs. Did you call an listen to the automated message or talked to a person at NVC.
After you get your NOA2, wait about 7 days. Then start calling NVC everyday. Don't bother trying to reach a person. Just used the AVRS with your USCIS case number. You will continue to hear "NVC has no record of your case" until NVC has assigned a case number. When NVC has assigned a case number, you will hear, "The case number assigned by NVC is da... ra... ra... ra..." Immediately, hang up and call back again. This time you want a human being. When you get a human, give them your email address. And your beneficiary's email also. Tell them to email you stuff instead of snail-mail. Hang up when done and email NVC your DS3032. You can use this guide to help you along with eerything: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_bring_your_foreign_spouse_to_live_in_the_US
Within what time frame should I expect a response, automated or otherwise?
If you have sent your DS3032 in the attention of Sue, you should expect a reply in 7-8 hours. If you haven't, you probably won't hear anything for two weeks or so.

No set time frames with NVC. I would think within 2 days given your time line. Again, send one email now (with the ATTN: SUE sub) and hopefully, you should get a response in 15 hours or so. If you haven't heard from them during that time frame, send another one after 15 hours.

Also, remember that NVC is closed tomorrow for Veteran's day and no action could be taken.

Within what time frame should I expect a response, automated or otherwise?

1. You put whatever is your current, legal, factual family name. You being the beneficiary.

2. Yes. Q14 to Q17 are about your spouse. Your husband in this case. I'm assuming you are the beneficiary and filling out the DS230 for yourself.

3. Beneficiary's mother and father.

4. You should be typing these in black ink, all caps. If you're writing, write legibly and in all-caps.

In that case, the lawyer will become the agent and the DS3032 will not be generated.

Read the below link to understand the process better,

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_bring_your_foreign_spouse_to_live_in_the_US#NVC_Steps

How do you do the DS3032 if you're using an attorney? email version of the template letter.? do you include the beneficiary, petitioner and lawyer (agent of record)?

You will likely get a respond by the end of the working day OR within 2 - 3 days. I believe the NVC is overloaded at the current time.

If you type this in your subject line:

ATTN: PI SUPERVISOR SUE - CASE NUMBER BENEFICIARY NAME - BENEFICIARY DATE OF BIRTH.

Thats how we've been addressing it - and have been told several times when at the nvc stage to include the 'PI' in the subject line. Whether it matters in the end, I cant say, but thats the 'official' line anyway. I really dont think it does.
