Also, read over the questions on the marriage quiz. There are some that I really have to think about and I know it would be the same for my husband. What colour are each other's toothbrushes? Heck, I have no idea - we change them every few months and we never have the same colour - just as long as he uses his and I use mine is all that matters! No idea what movie we last saw together either- we are not big movie goers. Had to think about the name of his supervisor and I only have the ballpark figure for his last pay cheque - and I know he has no idea what my last paycheque was either - the money goes direct deposit into the bank; I know the annual salaries, but just the odd question like that is not necessarily straight forward. We are celebrating our 6th anniversary this month.

2008-10-14.....Interview--221g, asked to present joint sponsor inspite of NVC approval

2008-11-07.....Visa due to arrive. DHL truck delivering visa was robbed, Consulate required us to present I-864s and DS-230 again, had to get a new passport and other related documents

2008-11-14.....Presented all new documents in person at Consulate, visa printed same day

2008-11-25.....POE Atlanta

2008-12-26.....Green Card and 2nd Welcome Letter arrive

2010-09-02.....Date of NOA ROC 1-751

2010-12-13.....Approval of ROC

2011-01-12.....10 year Permanent Resident card arrived

2011-12-20.....N-400 Application mailed

2011-12-29.....NOA

2012-02-02.....Walk-in biometrics (appt was for 2/16)

2012-04-17.....Interview

2012-05-18.....Naturalization Ceremony

I happened to catch this article this morning, it was an interesting read but that's not a job I would like for sure. I would probably fail as I'm pretty sure I have inattentive ADHD, equipped with short term/working memory so poor that it's obscene. That's also not the first time I have heard immigration ask a mother/pregnant woman if the baby was her husband's!

Kathryn, I knew you were in the ATL area but I didn't know it was Stockbridge! My inlaws live there about 15 minuets away from us, I really like the area.

would hate to have to go home each day, and wonder how many legit couples I denied :wow:

Given the stats they cite (1% or fewer interview-based denials) it sounds like they tend to err pretty heavily on the side of approval. They managed to make it sound like the fraud has to be pretty dang blatant, or the situation ridiculously unusual, to get an actual failure.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
