Fingerprints taken. Finally, called to speak to official. I was asked how I met my husband, when your husband first come to Peru, how many times he come to Peru. I carried 30 fotos of me and my spouse, cards he sent me, medical results and interview letter. After looking at everything, he said, " Your visa is approved." He then said," Call your husband and tell him the good news!" Total time at embassy: 6.5 hours. Also...after picking up passport...visa stamped in passport had incorrect passport number. So, have to go back to embassy again to have them correct it. We want no problems at POE. We are a little upset with embassy, but they say they are sorry for inconvienience. POE MIAMI: This was a experience I would like to forget. We left Lima at 0730 and arrived in Miami at 1415. My first mistake was going to the us citizen line. I was told that we should go to the visitor line. So we did. Arrived at Immigration at 1500. We waited until 1845 hours to finish. During this time, we missed 2 flights...and was on waiting list for a third. We were standby and didn't get on. Also, since we were stuck in immigration...our luggage was lost. Finally, after much waiting, we caught the last flight to DC at 2210. We arrived in Washington at 0020. Thanks be to God our luggage had gone through customs by themselves and arrived in DC with us too. After a horrible day in immigration...this event and the approval stamp in my wife's passport made everything good.	2012-05-12
