I've never understood why so many people suggest the DCF route to petitioners who don't already live abroad. It's as silly as an unmarried petitioner asking whether it will be faster to bring their fiance, they've already met within two years as a fiance or spouse. It's as if these folks are incapable of factoring in the time to move and stay or plan another trip for marriage. Think it through, folks.

Nothing to Lose? How about wasted time. Get an info-pass appointment and wait another week before filing the I-130 because time is not of the essence, right?
What can they possibly gain?
* They never had a pending AOS as the Check was cancelled BEFORE USCIS could even deposit it.
* He overstayed his I-94 so even if he had received AP it would've been useless.
* There is currently no pending anything with USCIS for him so what would an Info-Pass appointment possibly be able to do for them?
* He also can't use the VWP since he overstayed.
They have one legit option and that's rather straight forward. This isn't one of those cases where all options have been exhausted so it's time to throw a last second "Hail-Mary" pass into the end zone in hopes that a receiver will get there in time to catch it.

When Ahmed enters the US on the CR-1 visa, they will stamp his passport with the I-551 stamp - this is the stamped 'green card' or proof that he has entered the US legally as a permanent resident. His physical green card should arrive shortly afterwards, however, as long as that stamp is valid in his passport he is able to travel out of the US and return to the US - it is the same as the physical green card. So, assuming that all goes as planned and he passes the interview and receives his CR-1 visa in time for him to enter the US prior to September, he should be able to travel back in September to tie up the loose ends with his job. Oh but immigration does know your story, they see cases like this everyday, and it is called FRAUD. The only way out is to go back home before the 194 expires. Your situation is no different than anyone else from a 3rd world country. If you choose to stay, please remember these kind word, your life will never be your own, because you will always be looking over your shoulder to see if I.C.E. is behind you.

Yes, it's difficult. No money, not honey. The US tax payer is not responsible for supporting your choice of mate. If you don't qualify to sponsor them and don't have a close friend or relative capable or willing to do so, you can always chose to be together outside the USA.

I usually look at the forums by clicking "View New Content" on the top right of the main page. Since last night, this doesn't work anymore- it keeps telling me there is no new content since <last login time> even though there clearly is. I can still see New Members and Calendar, it's just the Forums tab that tells me there's no new content.

Although the Census doesn't tell you how many of those are of Russian descent (if this is what rocks your boat), it's fair to assume that there are more potentially suitable spouses for you than you can possibly check out in your lifetime.
The US Government does not regulate who you can marry, as long as it's a human being (no space robots, no animals) of the opposite gender. What you asked the US Government (not the State) for is to import yet another foreigner from a country that was the US's largest enemy for a very long time, shortly after a Russian Spy ring was exposed.
It is only reasonable for a government, any government, to secure its country's borders and make sure that no unauthorized aliens can enter it or live with it. The US Government takes this mandate very seriously.

Hello Captain Ewok, Do you run this site? If so , its really simple what should be done. Anyone that is being racist, hateful, or more should be banned without warning. Any mods that people are having trouble with should lose mod privilege.
Religious, political, and racial information, and images should be banned from Avatars and Signatures.
With all the hate going on, on this website people will leave. In fact, just get rid of the Politics and Religion subforums , that would solve a lot of problems. People can go else where to discuss it, no need for it to be on a visa website to start with

In my opinion, the US government has more sophisticated methods for background checks than a layperson.
However, go with what you think is best. Note, that failure to disclose - and they find out about it - could result in a bad day

In the new generations (in morocco) people do what they want more. Marry who they want even if it is not accepted by there family. The trend is becoming more modern in theyre thinking and less traditional. However if you are a guy in morocco, it would be normal for you to wait until you have a good income, maybe can buy a home, etc to support your own family, (before marrying) and thus it will take time and you will be a bit older by the time this happens for you. With a girl, her family might urge her to marry by the time she is 16-20 so that she will not date anyone (accept her fiance) so there is the answer to the older guy younger girl equasion. As for the older woman yonger man thing in morocco. Sometimes a girl (like here) just is not focused on having her own family and is not in a rush to leave her home. Or maybe her husband dies and she marries another guy who just happens to be younger (same as anywhere on earth) I know coming from the USA traditions it is hard for us to understand that ANYONE would not be as concious of the age differences as we or shall I say (american men) are. But they areant! truely they areent! I am 20 years older than my husband and he has never mentioned it or made me feel old. He thinks I am wonderful! And it was not a problem for our visa as well. For us the consulate seemed to just give us the usual hubub over little picky strange things that did not seem to make alot of sence to anyone but them. So we could not make sence of it. We just waited out our 2 mos or so in AP and got our visa 11 mos after I sent in our packet. On the CR1. It's been 2 years that my husband has been here now and it's great. I do not ever feel i was used for a visa and I never worry he wil leave me for any reason. I got my info about morocco from my husband so I have to believe he knows what he is talking about. As for american men LOL they can't help being the way they are conditioned to be. Life here seems to create some pretty selfish behavior (unfortunately) Thank god there are still countries where you can find a mate that is commitment minded still! Hurray for visa's!!!!
