This is a very long process. Don't start freaking out now or you'll never survive it.

OP, don't allow this co consume you.
Divorce, as quickly as you can, notify USCIS, and move right on.
As humans, we have emotions and who is to say she didn't just meet this chap? Either way notify USCIS and move on. 13 years marriage with 4 kids, numerous homes purchased but when I divorced my Ex she still thinks I was scamming her so like someone else said above 4 years may not be really scamming.

+1 on this. Unfortunately, at USCIS the right hand doesn't always know what the left hand is doing. There have been multiple cases on VJ where an applicant was sent a letter telling them that the interview had been canceled, but that didn't stop an automatic denial from being triggered when the applicant didn't show up. You should probably show up on the date and time of the original interview and sign in at the reception desk. If they tell you to go home then at least you've covered yourself by showing up. Some people have gone to the original appointment, in spite of having been told it was canceled, and they were interviewed that day.

I think your intentions for being on VJ are very questionable and yes I have a say about it because
fraud is the reason why I am currently visiting my husband through the internet daily for the past 9 months and counting.
Please if you have a fiance, wife or are a student and wish to live here read the guides then ask your valid questions.

Otherwise the people on here are onto your suspicious inquiries and should be aware of them not being with good intentions.

Sir, please leave NOW and take all your evidence with you that you will need. You already have a GC, have documentation that you entered in good faith, joint stuff, etc
Rent a room in a house close to your job so that you can walk/bus/bicycle there - ask your coworkers for assistance. You're bargaining from a position of weakness if you continue to allow yourself to be in your existing household and be abused. Then after you've established that you don't need her then maybe you Guys can go to counselling, etc and patch things up but you would have fired a salvo across her bows.
I firmly beleive in this, that once the Police department is involved in your household then all is compeltely lost. The Police are not marraige counsellors, they are there to decide what crime has occured and who to arrest and haul in.
I'm personally convinced that you won't take steps to help yourself and you will continue to make excuses and your next posts will be how you were arrested, etc
PS: I grind my teeth whenever I read these posts where the Parents are so heavily involved in their adult childrens life decisions.

You need an EAD + SSN to work.
You change your SSN with a green card not an EAD.
So, if you have your EAD but no SSN. Go down to the office and get your SSN.
If you have your EAD and SSN then go look for a job.
When you get your green card you then go to the SS office and have the words on the SSN removed.

Erm. I don't know where she found this lawyer, but it sounds to me like he/she should be disbarred..
Personally, with that kind of a history of several immigration violations not to mention all the times she has broken the law in the US, I don't see a way for her to stay here through any means. She has also misrepresented herself as a US citizen to gain illegal entry back to the country, and that misrep, if there is proof of it, carries a life time ban with no possibility of a waiver.
I don't think there is enough extreme hardship in the entire world to convince any judge to let her stay, under any circumstances.

Looking at your time line, hes been here almost 3 months. It was a bit like that for me too. I left behind a house, a 50K a year job that I had had for almost 20 years, family, I gave everything up. I came to the USA for him, and found as the summer rolled around he was working a lot. Here I was, with no one really to talk to, no job, in a house I still wasnt really comfortable in, bored out of my mind and feeling like I couldnt contribute. It was pretty much the complete opposite of my life back home.
The first month, oh it was bliss, I hadnt seen him in so long, now here he was and it was amazing. After the first couple months, we hit a few bumps just trying to figure out how to live together - you know, his socks on the floor, my tampons in his medicine cabinet - silly things, but still not what one is used to. After the bliss its reality, and its harder on the person coming in, because they are changing everything all at once, it can be overwhelming. For me, alot of it was that I couldnt contribute finacialy, I hated that, I felt like I put so much pressure on him ( I had money, but I wasnt earning ).
Is he miserable, probably, is it you, probably not. Its culture shock, its missing family, its feeling useless, its to much. But it does get better. Dont give up on him after a couple of months, give him time.
One thing my husband did for me, was take me out all the time. Because we were long distance, we spend our days at home so we could be on the internet so we could be together. Niether of us ever went out, so when I got here, he took me out all the time. And that was nice, a real change for my life style of the past 3 years with him. All I can really say is just give him time to adjust, do things he loves to do, get out of the house alot, visit family ... keep busy.
For me, after that first few great months, it was probably 2 more months before we really settled. We had to learn how to live together, and that can be hard. Now, our marriage is strong and Im glad I did what I did. ( move here )
I still have a problem with the health care, so much insurance needed here and there, and such low wages, but Ill adapt eventually.

Sorry, but that woman did NOT do anything....YOU did....look at the totally illogical nature of your request...
    (a) a bartender does NOT get 6 months paid vacation
    (b) there is no realistic possibility that your 'job' will be kept on hold during your 6 month 'vacation.'
© bartending is a very portable job....one that can easily be continued in the US
    (d) $7000 would not last 8 weeks while 'vacationing' in the US...and no, no one is going to believe that your friends will foot the bill for your food, housing and entertainment for that entire period....no one has friends like that.
    (e) your uncertain, shifting answer as to why you 'must' spend 6 months in the US, backtracking to 90 days or maybe more than 90, etc...did little to establish confidence in the VO.
the denial is NOT the fault of the VO....after all, who was the applicant? You. Who has the responsibility of convincing a VO of your true intentions? You.
Whose 'fault' was this denial? Yours. Period. Trying to blame a nameless, faceless person won't (a) change the decision nor (b) generate any useful sympathy.
Bottom line: a six month 'vacation' for someone of working age makes little sense. And $7000 is a pittance for supporting one's self for six months in the US.

He's already disconnected from you. If he's not willing to own up to the problem(s) and work to fix them, then there is nothing you can do to change his mind. It's a huge fallacy that one person can change another.
It hurts, it stinks, but it's survivable.
    Best of luck.

You sent it last Wednesday. It got there Thursday. It is now Monday midday. You expect something in 2 business days? It can take weeks to send out the NOA1.
There are a lot of people in this forum now freaking out about NOA1s not coming after 2 or 3 business days. To all of you: I sincerely suggest you relax. If you are this worried at the very beginning, the AOS process will be agony. It can take weeks to send out the NOA1. It is normal. I have seen even up to a month. They do not issue NOA1s when they get the package, they issue them when the package has been opened, collated, and checked that it is complete enough to start processing. This takes days at least.
Furthermore, the online notification system is extremely unreliable. Some people never get updates there, so wait for mail notices and find something else to do to take your mind off of it.
