That report says # visas "issued" "Refused" not petitions to USCIS...

A thought just crossed my mind regarding this whole material misrepresentation thing... The same consulate that has investigators call up applicants, petitioners and thier families and lies about the pretense of the calls and who they are to ask questions about the relationship, is the one saying others have made a material misrepresentation?
I guess since its the VN clerks and not the CO that are actually doing the calls it does not count...

She doesnt need to look at it really.. you can use it for things to talk about and then you will be teaching her about you while you talk.. When my students ask me for a study guide, I give them a list of the topics that are covered in the exam and areas that they need to focus on.. Not a list of potential test questions.. this way when they study, they are going over the concepts rather than memorizing answers.. when it comes time to apply the knowledge, they need to know the concepts... same holds true with your SO and the interviews.. yes that was plueral as there could be more than one at the consulate and will likely be at least one more when she gets here..
Dont be surprised if she is asked something like, what kind of underwear does he wear? color?..

Thats normal for HCMC lately... just get those docs to them and unless there is some issue they have with the case they will issue a pink then... she can go early to submit them, but it depends on if the CO is there whether they will accept them... check the VN regional and the interview schedule that is pinned and on page 1 you will see what others have had happen...

The color of the paper is not as important as what it says on the paper.. At HCMC they can use a white for denial as well as 221g request for additional evidence.. What did the document say? Pink at HCMC is always approval.. other than that could be white green or blue..
Take a moment and fill in your timeline and other info such as what type of visa applied for.....

Delays in visa processing happen... they will likely call her to say when it is ready... lucky for you guys.. many consulates dont have the courtesy to call.. they let you travel accross the country only to be told to come back a week or two later...

Our case was complete in July.. didnt get scheduled second week of Aug.. now we have to wait until next month.. Not always the following second week ... and not always on the second week.. it all depends on the country and the load they have in the queue.

Joey, definitely wait till after you've had your Dam Hoi to file the petition. A friend of mine went to VN in 3/2011, met a girl, fell in love, and went back to VN a second time in 7/2011 to have his Dam Hoi. He filed his 129F in 8/2011 with plenty of pictures and evidence (phone records, plane tickets, etc). She was interviewed in June 2012 and got approved. She came to the US in 8/2012.

Just wanted to come and let a few old timers know that my babe went yesterday and had her Citizenship test and interview and passed. She received her oath ceremony letter for the 27th. This is the end of our journey for the legal stuff but a new journey that we will have the rest of our lives to complete.

God, Marc Ellis is still around? Hahahahaha. We hired him, and though he is one weird dude, he did us a good job. I think in addition to having been around so long that he seems to have a certain amount of pull at the consulate, he also seems to have a 6th sense about whether your putative spouse is the real deal. After our consultation, he pulled me aside and said, "Son, you know you're a lucky man. I've seen a lot of couples come through here, and I can tell you that she really loves you, not like a lot of them who are looking for a ticket to the U.S." It turns out he was right.

Stepson got the pink today... They said they included a note to expedite visa issuance but nopromises. Will see how long it takes to get the visa to the service.

It will be extremely hard for your girl friend to convince the IO in Vietnam that your case is serious when you just met on a short trip to Vietnam.
Having to live and support a new immigrant is very hard. Think twice about it, especially you are fresh out of high school, have no job, no credit, a dependent of your parent.
Don't rush. How about get to know her more through Skype, phone calls, vacations,...? Love can wait, you know.

You need to have met face to face within 2 years of filing the petition. June 2010 is more than 2 years.

The folks at the embassy are pretty good at sniffing them out. At least in Bangkok they are. They don't need to see anything in writing. All they need to do is say "relationship for immigration purposes only" or "Not a bonfide relationship" And that's the end of that. Happens all the time.

The form isn't stupid. I would bet that you can easily find the conversion rates to change any world currency into dollars.
You as the petitioning US citizen are the primary sponsor regardless of income. That means that you will be sued first if any money needs to be recovered.
Entering zero would not be the smart thing to do if you have an income that happens to be paid in a currency other than US dollars.

Read the pinned topic in NVC area.. AP is commonly used to say someone is working on a K1 case... does not always mean case was pulled for investigation.. My wifes case was pulled when we did her K1 and it added an extra month to the wait.. others have been told AP and then an hour later no AP...
