  1. They have to enter with or already be in the US. Most will be in the US. Certainly the Spouse I saw looked very bored and just sat there, I know some like to be outside for moral support whatever.
  2. I wondered why the Support levels were so low, for whatever reason they do not include Housing. Theoretically you could, OK this is a California case but the Court determined illogically in my mind but it is what it is that this person did: https://casetext.com/case/kumar-v-kumar-in-re-kumar
  3. When I did mine in London spouses were allowed and there was only one there.
  4. I know what the theory is, I know what the wording says, I also know what happened to me with bothe the I 134 and I 864. There is a degree of subjectivity and it seems local practice that does not always match the wording. One famous YT Lawyer insists that your 3 years taxes needs to meet the requirements, I have seen many people pass without meeting that, perhaps he had a case where they insisted so that is his baseline? Down the other end I have seen cases I was sure would fail and had no issue. Plus the logic makes no sense to me, if you need to show you can support using assets at 3x the amount for what could be an indefinite period? How does that work? Mind you if you just meet the requirements and have to pay that over what are you supposed to live on? In your case I would like to have a Joint Sponsor lined up, if that is not possible go for it and keep your fingers crossed.
  5. It should be easy enough to make a decision tree, but some of the factors would need to be weighted. One of the common issues I have seen is not surprisingly people change their minds as to what is important, I think ability to work is the most common one. I agree K1 has a higher risk from a Beneficiaries perspective but even that can vary from some to a lot.
  6. I do not remember ever seeing any CR1 say we wish we had gone K1, now I have seen it the other way. In that vast majority of cases people have gone K1 because they think it is quicker without considering other issues.
  7. Timelines now are much more fluid but some of the essentials do not change. You have chosen one extreme I could think of a few others that I have seen on here. You file K1 and are interviewed they send it back and you are 2 years in and starting from scratch. Lost income is definitely for many the biggest cost, yet again you are making assumptions. You could be out of work for a year, OK not a deal for some a big deal for others. Plus of course you are guaranteed to go through removal of conditions and you can see what a pain that is now. With all this we are always assuming that the future will reflect the past, I have seen a lot of K1s not realise the full extent of what they are getting in to. I think I said 4 months in and you might as well go for it, so this is more for those contemplating which route to go. There are definitely specific circumstances where the K1 makes sense, you mentioned people who do not want to marry and wait, there are a few others.
  8. Joint Sponsor How 3 will live on 15k is another matter
  9. This is a much more complicated situation that a few Bills.
  10. Amusingly I tuned into watch the US game on Fox local channel, so it is blocked due to some dispute with DirectTV. Now they did give me a $75 a month option to upgrade to watch it but rather switch to Telemundo and have it in Spanish. Meanwhile this happened, no comparison.
  11. How can IKEA not know what the deal is?
  12. I am assuming you just want some hand holding so it does not really matter, if you have issues I would want a Lawyer who is local and well know.
  13. They say jump, you say how high.
  14. You will notice that most people on VJ have a major downer on K1.
  15. The VJ record, as far as I know, is 9 years. I have seen some cases elsewhere that seem longer but who knows. I do not believe everything I see. If they want to naturalise I would use the date she enters this upcoming time. Id she gets any hassle she just needs to hold her ground, nothing much they will do.
  16. Some Countries acknowledge Dual Citizenship, US does not. You are applying for a US passport so must follow their rules.
  17. Some years back I attended a function in Denver anyway all the people were in the Immigration Biz, USCIS, IJs, Lawyers etc. As I expected in such a situation a lot of them had known each other for a very long time, socialised, and it was a job, nothing personal. One of the reasons, there are others I always think if you are going to have a Lawyer involved you should not fly them in. Now if you are in a big hole then all bets are off. That is pretty rare.
  18. Hmm incorporate a wet Y Shirt contest. Rapinoe retiring is obviously good news, such a divisive figure and has put back the cause many years.
  19. Good luck
  20. Like I said it is all down to the ladies turning up on a wet Tuesday
  21. Coventry Even we can fill up Wembley but we can not fill it up every week How many can you take on a wet Tuesday in November to Hartlepool is a better measure They gave away 20,000 seats and from what I can gather the tickets are cheap Look at the Guardian coverage, extensive, look at the comments, limited
