  1. They will email you. My case was ready on the 5th of August and I didn’t receive email from them until the 20th. The email shows how to submit forms, what to bring, etc. ‘You can email them directly if you haven’t heard from them. Just send your case number and tell them it’s in Ready status
  2. My experience is that Colombia is controlling the flow of Visas to some degree. When they receive enough to fill their capacity they turn the flow off for a period of time to the NVC. They are processing. We have our interview next month.
  3. Thanks WiLMan. I actually got this news from another source as well just a few hours ago. Paused in July and planning to receive cases in August. Good news I guess. Any news is better than radio silence.
  4. Thanks Sarah. We have talked to Embassy and they are indeed open and processing. Unfortunately the NVC holds the power and the Embassy in Bogota has no ability to speed up the process.
  5. Wilman- so you are in the same situation I am with the same response from NvC. What is your plan of attack? Just continue to wait and send periodic requests for updates each month? My lawyers didn’t really have any other suggestions
  6. DJH. I wish you all the best. Hope you can keep in touch with information here as yours progresses. If you don’t mind me asking for what date we’re you able to schedule an interview?
  7. I received case number from NVC this week but they stated they can’t send the case to Colombia because Bogota is not processing K1 Visas. Has anyone received a similar response or has anyone received the opposite response and had their K1 case sent to the embassy in Bogota for processing?
