Use the mac case number. The file will stay at the embassy until the waiver is approved. The embassy and the USCIS will communicate and the USCIS will let the embassy know about the appeoval. The embassy takes it from there and will send yr wife the instruction letter. Once your waiver is accepted at the NSC, you can track it on the USCIS website and sign up for notifications. There is also an app that you can use on your phone and it will also send a notification when the status changes.

The USCIS doesn't give a Rat's behind if you have a lawyer or not. They don't review them before they get assigned to an officer. They don't have that kind of time. The TSC is as slow as molasses. I would plan on a longer wait now that the Obama garbage starts accepting applications on February 18th. My I-130 got pushed aside when the DACA garbage originally started. I don't want to sound negative, but I lived through it and I speak from experience. You have no idea how many applications are gonna come in after February 18th.
Don't make any plans for a big wedding until you have the visa in your hand. The USCIS doesn't care if you lose money because you are planning a wedding before your visa is approved.
Maybe get married by a judge so you can satisfy the K1 conditions and then plan a huge wedding with all the trimmings when you know you can set a solid date.

I had my heart set on the K3 when we started this long journey. Everyone on VJ told me I was dreaming. And they were correct. We hired an attorney and it was a waste of money. I did 95% of the leg work . I could never get the lawyer on the phone. I could never get the lawyer to answer simple question via email. The entire law office was slow as molasses . They had ZERO customer service skills and treated me like I was annoying them. Our case took 11 months to be approved just for the I-130. Mind you, I only tried to contact the lawyer 5 times during that time. I spent many hours reading posts on VJ to get my info. When we got to the NVC stage, the lawyer made a huge mistake that I had to correct. ( they used the wrong income amount.... and they insisted we would not get checklisted because it was well over the 125% poverty level.... well, he was dead wrong. ) I knew how to correct it immediately because I read the NVC wiki on VJ. I did everything for the NVC and for the interview and all the follow-ups. I contacted the senator's office when I needed information because the lawyer was useless. The lawyer even filed our waiver incorrectly with the incorrect waiver fee and it got rejected. I can't even tell you how angry I was. The waiver was approved Dec 17th 2014 and the lawyer didn't even send me the approval letter until 3 weeks later. I contacted the embassy and took care of all documents needed for the visa. Husband entered the US January 18th of this year. Just yesterday I received an email from the lawyer asking me if I have heard anything from Costa Rica. I completely stopped contacting the lawyer because I could never get a straight answer or get someone to answer my calls. The lawyer is not even aware that my husband is here. He is under the impression that I am still waiting to hear from the embassy. smh
Save your money. Get rid of the lawyer and hang out here. Join the thread for the month you filed your I-130 so you can follow the progress and get an idea of when you will be approved. Also, read the NVC WIKI over and over again. It is a step by step guide that will get you through the NVC without issues. When your I-130 is approved, Join the NVC thread and follow the progress. Add your name to the spread sheet so you can stay informed. I would have been lost without this site.

if you really love her, maybe investing in some workout machines for your home might be an option. As far as watching TV, jeez..... Sounds like you need to spend some time with her and reassure her. I hope she doesn't expect you to wear blinders and only associate with men...

He'll have to provide divorce decrees in the I-130 package. They do extensive background checks. If he was or is married, the USCIS will know. It would be a total waste of money to file if he thinks he will get away with lying.
Maybe he's one of those trash talkers who thinks foreign women are ready to marry the first American who asks.

GOODNESS... no need to be nasty.. just reading what you originally posted.. it sounds like it was forwarded to the team that reviews the expedite requests.... Expedites are few and far between... Good luck with that. I see alot of requests taking 60 days for a decision. There is a backlog for those too. The senators can only place a rewquest for expedite. they don't make the decision. there is a process and the senators offices are not above anyone. People here are just trying to help you.
To answer your question in this post.... They ask for 60 days to review it. What is your reason for expedite? Maybe someone else has had a similar experience and can shed some light for you. The letter you attached is NOT an expedite approval. It is just giving you a status report of where your file is. It clearly states it is going for review. If you are going to post on a forum asking questions, its not nice to be mean to those who want to help you.

DWheels I have a stupid question
Has anyone ever made a mistake on the A number when paying the Immigrant visa fee? I just did that today.... I was told I need to contact a tier 2 officer to get them to change it. I wasn't able to get transferred due to high call volumes. They told me to call back tomorrow. Meanwhile I am having an anxiety attack just worrying about this. Husband is flying on Sunday morning so I have a little bit of time. I guess its a good thing I realized it was entered wrong and correct it now rather than wait and have his greencard be delayed..... but I still feel like a dumba$$

We just got our final interview appointment for 14 January. An approval letter was never sent out from USCIS, they just contacted the consulate directly. We are on a short timeline so the consulate is allowing us to pick up the visa on 15 January (providing the interview goes well). My stomach is in a knot waiting for all this!

I think people get insulted or offended when someone comes along and is looking for a faster way through this process. I spent 11 months at the TSC. It was very difficult to read those posts and not think bad things... I'm still angry about that long wait btw...
end result, do a search on VJ for pregnancy expedites and it will bring up tons of threads answering the OP's question. No need to make nasty comments.. She will find out on her own that there is nothing else to do but wait. ( sigh)

I still checked after my approval to make sure it stayed the same... and now I look just b3ecause I like seeing the word APPROVED.
You can also check the CEAC for date changes. Mine changed so many times. It was nice to know somebody was actually working on my case.
What country are you working with?

Not to add fuel to the debate; but....
citizenship is not a right (for the ones not born here that is; it is a benefit...full disclosue: I was not born here).
At some point in your life you made the decision to live in the US, maybe your parents get you residence but at the end as an adult you decided to stay. Furthermore, you are now making the decision to become a citizen, and that choice has implications: fees to name one.
The fees are decided by the entity providing/facilitating the benefit; and in my mind actual cost has nothing to do with it; though it is likely to be the main reason in this case.
It is no different IMHO than an airfare, a movie ticket, your salary, the price of the car you drive, the house/aprtment you rent or purchased, etc: if you don't like the price you don't have to take it.
The main "difference" is that this is a government service, but since when is the government obligated to subsidize immigrants? They might do it at times for political reasons though, not arguing that.
There might be some special reductions, waivers, etc; and the provider of the benefit gets to decide what those are and what group benefits.
Notice that at no point I'm saying that fees are low or that seem to not be on the high side relative to immigrants/residents who might not have enough means; not having enough means is a different discussion/conversation alltogether.
BTW, You might want to consider the cost of the passport itself, plus pics.
