  1. https://www.finder.com/uk/international-money-transfers/atlantic-money-international-transfers Just a link with some pros and cons for people that might be useful.
  2. I think embassies extend petitions in 4 month increments - from what I know I think it used to be a year but that was during Covid. You can certainly contact the embassy though and ask them. Even if your petition does expire you can revalidate it by bringing a signed letter/statement from each of you confirming that you still plan to marry and will get married within 90 days of entering the USA. My interview was just over a month after my medical and I brought a signed letter from me and my fiancée along to the visa interview and they were ok with that. I would say try and book your medical before your petition expires if you can though as when I went for my medical they did ask me if I had booked my interview yet. I had booked mine already before my medical though.
  3. I would just get the Covid vaccine as like @OldUser said I can't imagine the requirement being changed.
  4. Me and my fiancee are having a courthouse wedding first and then another one for family and friends to attend. I think quite a few people do it this way.
  5. I have had some similar concerns regarding grades before as I don’t have a degree and I do know on some job adverts it can be listed as a requirement but my fiancée said not to take too much notice of that as they look at your work experience and skills as well.
  6. Are you saying you would go back to the UK?
  7. Mine was just over a month between my medical and interview but that was mostly when I tried to book my interview appointment online there were no days or time slots available to schedule it for about 10 days after my medical even though I was checking regularly every day. This was ok though as it allowed me some time to get my Covid vaccine in between. Visa Medicals at the time did advise 10 days between medical and interview but if they are saying 5 days then that should be ok and as others have said you can have the interview and then they can wait for the medical file to arrive if there is a slight delay in them sending it. You will be ok either way though.

  9. Hi, I think the guys know he has a K1 visa now but they are saying that when he was visiting you on an ESTA before he got the K1 visa that the officers would have been thinking how can he afford so much time off work to come and visit you.
  10. Thank you so much for the recommendations. I really appreciate it. They all sound so good!
  11. Hi SalishSea, thanks for replying back but M plus D replied back to me above with the relevant info and I gave my reasoning above as well. Thank you though
  12. I think I was under the assumption that it was just a regional thing due to the USA being such a vast country where each Service Center was able to process all types of visas along with when I went on the USCIS Processing Times section on their site you could select I-129f and the relevant Service Center and it would show different processing times for each Service Center. So once again thank you for confirming to me as I literally had never heard of California being the only one to do I-129f petitions. So thank you for once again for confirming!
  13. I did see that the page was published in 2018 so I did wonder or suspect to a degree that things may have changed since then so thank you for letting me know and clarifying. Much appreciated!
  14. I always thought Massachusetts would be covered by Vermont Service Center? https://davieslegal.com/news/service-center-will-process-immigrant-petition-application/ Is this not the case? And if not when did this change? Would be useful to know so I can update my knowledge.
  15. I think that is probably of when travelling from Dublin they don't have any passenger duty tax (I think) unlike the UK (if they do then it isn't as much as the UK) but you get the benefit of pre clearance in Dublin but also depends if you want to get there direct or not and how much of a saving there is.
  16. Ahh I have heard of some of those but I haven't listened to their songs yet. Any that you would recommend? I like Kane Browns music as well.
  17. Since I have been in my relationship with my fiancee I have got more into listening to country music. My favourite artists are Luke Combs, Rascal Flatts, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and Brett Young. Just wondering which country music artists people enjoy listening to?
  18. I haven't really watched the latest series. I only know of certain couples as my fiancee watches the show more regularly than I do.
  19. Although I did read somewhere that if you file the AOS more than a year after your medical then you have to do a new medical but I'm not sure if that is correct or not? Of course we will be filing the AOS as soon as we can. It isn't something that we want to delay.
  20. I have already had my medical and the vaccinations required. It seems I didn’t word my previous post to that effect looking at it now
  21. I thought it was easier just to get the vaccinations in my country and get everything completed here before travelling over to the USA and getting them done there as I had seen a few posts regarding this and it does seem unfair that they want to charge you for a new medical exam.
  22. Hi, I understand your concern regarding how your relationship is perceived but I don’t think you should let it bother you to the extent that it is. If you love each other then that is the only thing that should matter and you should let that allow you to focus on this petition. I don’t think you are going to be judged for the type of relationship you are in by US officials during the process as there are many people in similar positions that have either been through the process or are going through the process as well. They will be reviewing the evidence you submit, your interview answers, etc. The K1 visa process will challenge you mentally (it did for me and my fiance at times) but it will be ok. Just take one thing at a time.
  23. Mine took about a month from submitting the form around the middle of May 2024 to receiving it around the middle of June 2024.
