LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to Brother Hesekiel in leaving country for honeymoon?
How do "illegals get free stuff" and, more importantly, how do "we treat our own citizens like #######" if we require foreigners to have either a valid visa, or AP, or a Green Card, in order to enter the U.S. from abroad?

You are mistaken.
As a LPR you can file the I-130 for her once you are married, which takes about 5 months, but afterward the petition will go into a state the bears go when the winter comes: hibernation.
As the spouse of a LPR, her preference category is F2A. If memory serves me (having checked the latest visa bulletin), the waiting time for a visa number to become available is currently about 3 years and 4 months, in addition to the time the I-130 takes. So you're talking another 4 years before she can immigrate to the U.S based on the current conditions..
Even if you were to get married in the U.S. due to fraudulent activity, she is ineligible to adjust status at that time, again, because no immediate visa number is available for her.

Pull your affidavit of support now. Don't wait for the interview. This is not a cultural thing...you are being played.

My orginal statement was "stop blaming the US for decisions that you made". You can choose to support whomever you wish financially the US isn't stopping you.

There is no cowardness in my post, that same money that you say you have to support them financially in the US, can go along way in supporting them in their 3rd world country. If the youth of today strive to make a change in their owncountry, then maybe they can be the ones to change the corrupt within their own country.
It's you who thinks that what you have to offer them iz better than what they could possible achieve in their own country. This is why some many other countries feel that we the people of the US think we are of higher power than others.

Not wanting to sound like a smartazz, there is no requirement that both the parents had to come now and the children remain in the home country. I understand that you believed there was follow to join opportunity.
The wait will be shorter for the parents to petition for the children than if your spouse petitioned for the siblings. Perhaps one parent stays in the US and the other stays with the children in the home country while the US based parent petitions for the kids. That may involve petitioning for the other parent again as well.

LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to Deputy Purple in My family got rejected because of me
Stop looking at it from your side of the situation and think like a Consular Officer for a minute.
First, they are required to assume that all Visa applicants have immigrant intent and the applicant bears the burden of overcoming this assumption.
Second, they have a situation where a member of your family (you) married a USC while on a Tourist Visa so that will raise the bar for your whole family.
Why is that? Well the answer is simple and it has nothing to do with if your marriage is real or not rather it's about how others have behaved. Because others have abused the Tourist Visa by using it to come and marry then never return and your family is now aware of the ability to do this they will assume that your siblings are at higher risk to follow your example.
This is one of the "undocumented" risks of marrying and AOSing on a tourist visa.

I think it is reasonable to assume that you problem is with your lack of understanding of the process.
Have you consulted with a lawyer?

LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to v70995 in Dissolving love and a missed green card
Which is exactly why she should contact an immigration officer via <http://infopass.uscis.gov/> bring the green card with her and explain the situation and let them make the decision. I certainly would not mail it with a note probably never getting a response or knowing the outcome
Since he left country I believe U.S.C.I.S may no longer consider this to be a bona fide marriage

LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to Harpa Timsah in Confused about immigration
She is not eligible for US Citizenship just because she is married to you. The first step would toward citizenship would be to obtain a spousal visa, become domiciled in the US, obtain a Greencard (permanent residency), and live there for 3 years. If she gets a Greencard, then she must live in the US. If you don't plan to live in the US, then she cannot get a Greencard and cannot get citizenship.
If you are planning to move to the US, then start studying up on spousal visas.

LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to pushbrk in physical abuse
So she was here on a student visa, married and filed to adjust her status? If so, they'll go to an interview together prior to any green card. If she needs to leave, there's not likely to be a green card. She needs competent legal assistance in this matter.

LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to Jojo92122 in Visa after Deportation
It's not being in prison or committing felonies that gets a person a ban. It is unlawful presence that gets the person a ban. A person who stays past their allowed time in the US is deem likely to do so again, so that is why there is a ban.
Recall the saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
Your mother has already fool the system once. She will not be allow to fool the system again. This is why she has been ban.

This whole topic is ridiculous. If the truth is told, he probably didn't want his name on anything because his religion forbids him from paying interest. It gets on my nerves that MENA guys want to build a credit history but don't want their name on anything. Not only that, but this guy has been talking to someone if he's only been here 7 months and he's already trying to figure out how to get some of what she probably worked years to obtain. She should send him packing back to Egypt with his suitcase and clothes which is more than likely what he showed up with.

I totally agree, for 7 months of marriage he/she is only owed some clean underwear, and nothing else. This marriage smells of fraud, after 7 months he wants to be made whole, probably more than he had in entering the US.

LIFE'SJOURNEY got a reaction from NY_BX in Mistaken identity
His nationality maybe Dominican, but somewhere in that family tree there were some ancestors who came from Africa. He may not or you may not want to accept that, but the picture isn't lying.
All African Americans aren't pure, we all have a mix of some other nationality, i.e Naive Americans, European, Caribbean, Asian, the list could go on. AS William33 stated I saw nothing wrong with the brothers who were trying to connect with him.
BTW, the only people who will label him as Spanish origin will be the census bureau, so he better get use to being label as something else (other).

LIFE'SJOURNEY reacted to fazmo in Clash between NVC and Consulate.
The legal position is that the CO has a legal discretion to evaluate if someone could become a public charge or not. The CO can - and has the full authority - to delay the issuance of visa or even deny it if, upon evaluation of the provided financial support evidence, the beneficiary was still unable to overcome the public charge presumption. A senator cannot do anything about it. The NVC cannot do anything about it. The CO has the final say in evaluating financial support that is available for the intending immigrants to avoid becoming a public charge. Remember that the CO could have denied your visa and still be within his legal lane. You are given a chance to seek a co-sponsor, which I find a lot easier to find than initiating a fight against a system you have almost zero chance of prevailing.
