  1. No, they’ll all be uploaded at the NVC stage, much later. How old are the children? Unless they’re infants and the I-130’s take a really long time to be approved they’re likely to age out, so it would just be his wife anyway.
  2. No worries. Basically forget the passport thing - just as being born in a country doesn't mean you're automatically a citizen of it, not having a passport of a country doesn't mean you're not a citizen either. So just put down any citizenships you have. Good luck.
  3. Yes, of course. It asks for all countries you're a citizen of, it doesn't matter if your passport has expired.
  4. OP hasn't been on the forum for 13 years, this is a really old thread! Would suggest you start a new thread if you have questions about interview questions.
  5. Everybody does go through AP, it's just a final check before the visa is issued, but it can be very brief or very long depending on various factors. My status was AP for only few hours before it changed to 'issued'.
  6. This thread may help - Even the quickest consulate is about 3 months from DQ to interview date, so I think you'll need to be prepared to fly to her for the birth. Good luck.
  7. OK, so if IR1 then should be about a year. If you search the forum you'll find lots of threads with info on, here's a very recent one - Good luck.
  8. Usually around a year, but which visa category and what is your Priority Date?
  9. OK, I'm still not understanding your post from 28th February with a letter from them saying they hadn't got a I-824 on file for you then. But I don't think the I-824 can be expedited, so you just have to wait. As said above, takes about a year so hopefully not too much longer. Good luck.
  10. When did you send the I-824? It takes about a year and your post from February says you had a letter from them saying they didn't have one from you, so I assume you've sent it since then? So still too early I'd say. Are you the petitioner or beneficiary?
  11. Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary? What are you trying to expedite and for what reason? Your timeline says your I-130 was approved nearly a year ago, and your previous post says USCIS said they never received a I-824 so it's not clear what stage you're at or what you're asking about. If you can give people more info then they can try and help.
  12. You're best just to ignore the wait time. I wish they would do away with the timeline messages, they just get people's hopes up or dash them, and neither is helpful. Obviously your case isn't taking longer than expected if you only applied in June, so how do they think that's a useful message?!? 😂
  13. No. It must be the ACRO cert, a DBS check won't be accepted. And just FYI on the blood being taken, it doesn't sound as though you'll need to if your daughter is 16. They only do blood tests on those aged 18-24. My 18 year old daughter was most miffed that she was the only one out of all of us that had to have it done! So you'll need vaccinations I assume, but no blood test. I sympathise, I hate needles too, and needed several vaccinations to pass the medical, ugh. Do also make sure you check in to what vaccinations your daughter will need to go to school in the US, most districts have a list of them and she won't be allowed to go to school without them (or without a waiver).
  14. For Nigeria? About 12-15 months IIRC, but you can search for timelines or threads to give you a better idea. Good luck.
  15. Weirdly, that person said earlier in the thread that their NOA2 came in August (https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/745299-ciudad-juarez-interviews/?do=findComment&comment=10778518), so 7 months between that and interview which is why I thought it had got quicker. Not sure why they said October as well, or which is correct though. 🤷‍♀️
  16. Top tip - click on the OP's Timeline to see details of their processing. This thread may also be useful, looks like it's sped up a lot recently as the most recent K1 on it had a much longer wait - HTH.
  17. Odd, I didn't get that when we all had ours earlier this year, mine didn't say that bit. Looks like that's very out of date, says 2016 on it. Perhaps they used to do it back then but not the case now - unless they have a concern I guess?
  18. And when are they eligible to apply for citizenship? It would be a long route but worth doing as back up in case you can't find a job/sponsor. What does your husband do for a living, is there any more likely employment based route for him maybe?
  19. I see it, thanks. Definitely not right, just wrong info input somewhere probably. As above, there is no visa available to an F2B applicant with a 2020 PD by law so it can't be right. Edit: found the timeline, if you look at the forum member's profile they actually applied under IR2, hence the processing time.
  20. When you say 'got the finalized' do you mean the I-130 was approved? Or the visa was actually granted? If the latter then my guess is somebody just put the wrong visa category on their timeline. If it's a VJ timeline then you can just link to it.
  21. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ HTH.
  22. Realistically, it would probably have to be a private school as they'll have the funds to sponsor you. I'd focus on the British schools as they will definitely hire Brits. And what do you mean sponsorship isn't a possibility as you're married? What family members do you have there?
  23. Do you have a link? The link I gave you is from the only authorised doctors in London to do the medicals, and tells you what they check for. As for tax, here's info on CGT from the US side of things - https://www.irs.gov/publications/p544 It's more lenient than the UK in terms of timing before CGT kicks in.
  24. You get 3 years before US CGT kicks in IIRC from our conversation with our tax advisors, less for the UK. (Both assuming it’s the primary residence, rather than a second home or investment property). But I just meant selling from the US if a sale hadn’t quite finalised by June, so hopefully only a few months at most.
  25. 12 days is pretty standard for SSN's, they say 2 weeks for those. The green card can be much sooner than 90 days (mine was about 6 weeks), but it doesn't really matter as long as you have it at some point in the first year. And of course, it can also be longer, my daughter's hasn't turned up yet and it's been 88 days - her SSN never arrived either so somehow she's been left off the system despite entering at the same time as the rest of us! I need to chase it up in another 2 days, it's definitely not coming as her status has been stuck on 'card is being produced' since 9th September, and there's nothing showing from USCIS in Informed Delivery either.
