  1. You are petitioning family to reunite with them, that's the whole point of the visa - if you're actually petitioning them to move them to the other side of the world, then you don't meet the requirements and an affidavit won't make any difference IMO. You need to wait until you have moved, once you've completed your studies. The good news is that sponsoring parents doesn't take too long compared to other family members, so your parents won't have long to wait once you do petition them.
  2. Yes. Lots more docs will be required several years down the line when the case gets to the NVC stage.
  3. As per your previous thread, it's likely to take much longer to get a visitor visa appointment anyway. It's dropped since your last thread, but still over a year (375 days) wait for an apopintment. But if you can get an appointment then they can certainly try get a visa. It will depend on their ties to their home country etc, but no harm in trying.
  4. Can’t help with questions as mine was an employment based green card, but they tell you on the day if you’ve been approved and then keep your passport to put the visa in it. My interview was no more than 3 minutes long in total, super easy, hopefully his will be the same. Good luck.
  5. You’re confusing the two processes again. As above, when she enters on her immigrant visa she’ll become a LPR immediately, and have her visa endorsed to act as a temporary green card for the first year. Her actual green card should arrive in the mail a month or two after entry. HTH.
  6. Yes, absolutely no point in chasing it until the PD is current. No interview can be scheduled until then as a visa simply isn't available. Did you decide to apply for citizenship as per your previous thread? That might make it a bit quicker when you have it. Good luck, hope it speeds up for you.
  7. That's for the package when the visa is actually issued - I think the OP is referring to the medical results.
  8. Perfectly normal. There's nothing you can do but wait for them to do their checks unfortunately.
  9. It’s neither good nor bad, it’s just the way things are done now at most consulates.
  10. Sounds like it is, but it's a question for the immigration lawyer.
  11. If you did the public enquiry form then it shouldn't take several months, you can see the date they're responding to enquiries from on the timeline page and it's currently only a few days - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
  12. Presumably it's a cap exempt position and so you're not subject to the usual deadlines and the lottery? If so, that should be plenty of time for a July start.
  13. Ah yes, it will be then. Just checking it wasn’t a sibling petition or something like that! Hope she hears very soon.
  14. On the menu, click ‘immigration timelines’ and then you can narrow it down. Just looked at your timeline and it says Nepal? So assume you’re asking about somebody else that’s applied via Paris? What kind of case and is the PD current?
  15. About 12-15 months - if you search the forums you'll find various tracking threads which will help give you a better idea. Good luck.
  16. Never mind, just realised you’re F22 so it is current - different category to the OP. Seems your hold up is just the backlog for interviews in Nigeria.
  17. You might get the IL in a month if lucky, for an interview date in the future. Not sure what link you mean?
  18. As above, the PD isn’t current yet and no interview can be scheduled until it is. The date hasn’t moved forward at all in Novembers bulletin either, so it’s likely to be a few years yet.
  19. Paris is usually one of the quickest consulates - only approx 3-4 months from DQ to interview IIRC. But you can search VJ timelines to give you a better idea.
  20. It does make sense, but it doesn't give the most important bit of info. Has your I-130 been approved yet and if so, when?
  21. You don't seem to be aware of the processing times and/or Visa Bulletin, so just checking, have you looked in to your children and whether they'll still qualify for a visa? As you mention some being over 21. Might be worth posting their ages and when your I-130 was approved so that forum pros can work out if they'll qualify under CPSA. If not, then you'll need to be aware of the process for them joining you at a (much) later date as well.
  22. Make sure you report it so they can get the website taken down, you can forward scam emails on to USCIS (just Google it for the address)
  23. Two IL's received in Sept on the table above, both London applicants. It totally depends on the consulate, some are much quicker than others unfortunately.
  24. Did you keep a copy of the DS-160 to make sure you are entering the info exactly as you did in the application i.e. passport number etc? Have you tried using both Ankara and Istanbul?
  25. But where is she actually resident? Does she live in Syria or somewhere else?
