  1. But you said above he'd had DTAP (which is pertussis), now you say it's DTP - has he had both? If not, which is it? @SalishSea, in the UK polio isn't routinely given separately. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/polio/
  2. Yep, I had the TD at my medical, as my last tetanus shot was more than 10 years previously. No idea on the ones with Pertussis though as we all had them as children so didn't need to have them again. But Knightsbridge will do any that are missing, and if they can't do them, they'll mark them as not available. Will cost more doing it that way but I suspect it'll be easier in the long run as Visa Medicals will know what is and what isn't required.
  3. You also can't fault the guy who grabbed 4 slices if everybody else decided that they'd rather have a hamburger. It's up to each consulate which visa categories they prioritise and give interview slots to each month. If they don't want the pizza then that's up to them, just means there's more for everybody else.
  4. Odd, but if it's not available to adults then it's not available. Same as the varicella vaccine which is required for US immigration, but which is waived for UK applicants, as we can't get it there. Just give them a call and ask, they're super helpful and they'll be able to tell him if they'll mark it as 'not routinely available' of it it will be an issue and he'll need a waiver.
  5. The P in DTAP is Pertussis, not Polio. https://www.aboutwhoopingcough.com/tdap-vaccine/tdap-and-dtap/#:~:text=What is the difference between, for infants and young children and https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/dtap-tdap-td/public/index.html They're given routinely in the UK so he should have had it as a child (all 4 of us had had it, ranging in age from early teens to mid fifties). https://www.nhsinform.scot/healthy-living/immunisation/vaccines/the-4-in-1-vaccine But if he's unsure then he can check with his doctor, or if he hasn't actually had his medical yet (I assume not) then he can phone and ask them to double check. Good luck.
  6. Has he actually had his medical yet? Any missing vaccines can be given there, we each had a couple given to us last summer when we had ours (different ones for each of us).
  7. Ah perfect. Yes, may as well give it a go, good luck.
  8. Just in case you're not already aware, you've missed the boat for 2025 FY unless it's a cap exempt role. Good luck.
  9. Fair enough, it just seemed like even if you are granted the visa you wouldn’t enjoy the run up to the holiday though as you’d be worrying too much. So personally I’d say sod it and go somewhere else! But I’m probably biased as I really didn’t like it, I’m not a Florida fan so the thought of putting myself through all of that stress for it makes no sense to me. 😂 Good luck with it, hope you get the visa and then have a fabulous holiday.
  10. It’s none of my business and really I’m musing out loud (so please don’t feel you have to answer) but I’m wondering why you are putting yourself through this when you could holiday somewhere else? Paris has a Disney too, my kids loved it, more than the one in Florida. And you wouldn’t have to worry the whole way there. It just seems like a lot of stress, hassle and anxiety, is it really worth it?
  11. Typically validity will be for 5-10 years (each visit up to 6 months - you can be given less though). And yes, a visa doesn't guarantee entry.
  12. You'll be resident from the moment you become a GC holder. We've just done our first tax returns and our accountants/tax advisors were very clear on that. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/us-tax-residency-green-card-test
  13. Do they perhaps mean the info you're given about it when you get sent the GC in the first place? Rather than a separate letter about it. AFAIK, they don't send out reminders.
  14. Send them all together. Not sure what you mean about a cover sheet listing everyone's name? All you need it the cover sheet that they've already sent you which you're asked to put on the top of your package - that has the case number on it, and that's all they need. Good luck, and please fill in your timeline when you get a chance to. There aren't many of us EB applicants around, so the more EB timelines we have the better.
  15. There’s no educational requirement for family sponsorship. And far more people get the opportunity to immigrate via family sponsorship than the poor illegal immigrants who risk their lives for the same opportunity that your brother has an easy (albeit lengthy) route to.
  16. Service centre isn't likely to have anything to do with it, it would take a long time wherever it was sent because other categories that do have visas available to them are prioritised. And it's not outside normal processing times until the PD is one year before the date on the VB, which is why your enquiries have been ignored thus far. As @milimelo has said, most people want their I-130's to take as long as possible if they are in a family based preference category. Somebody whose I-130 was approved in a year won't be able to take their dependent children with them, whereas your brother probably could (if he has any). So others who had their I-130 approved quickly may think you've been far luckier than them!
  17. You don't all have to enter at the same time - the principal applicant can enter before the derivatives, or at the same time as them (derivatives just can't enter first).
  18. Yep, this. Although I’d put it at at least 10 years rather than 5 - currently June 2007 on the VB (6.5 years from the OP’s PD). But it’s also only moved forwards 3 months in the past two years. So unless things suddenly speed up it’ll be a heck of a lot longer IMO.
  19. There’s no need to ‘shout’. You said above she’d leave and re-enter another time, as long as you’re aware she can’t apply for AOS if she does that then that’s fine. That’s all Boiler was pointing out.
  20. This is a really old thread, and the OP hasn't been on the forum for 6 years. You'd be better off starting your own thread with any questions.
  21. You might want to be more specific, which visa category? They're all long waits at Lagos, but some are longer than others.
  22. Please start your own thread with any questions rather than hijacking the OP's. How long it will take will depend on his Priority Date so do give that info too.
  23. It's random AFAIK. And sorry for the duff info on the wait time for an interview at Manila, I didn't think it was a long wait but @Boiler knows more than me. Hope the backlog reduces a bit by the time your I-824 is processed anyway.
  24. Obviously nobody knows what the queue for an interview will be like in a year or so, but I think Manila is fairly good at the moment - a search of the country sub forum will give you more info though. Best of luck.
  25. Which consulate is it? Next year is doable assuming it’s not one with a long wait for an interview date (Lagos, Islamabad, etc).
