  1. OK, that's good. I know it's about 18 months from DQ to IL for 'normal' EB cases, not sure how much time an expedite will shave off that as I've not seen anybody else with one. There is a long running thread about EB visas via Montreal, might be worth searching that to see if you can find any expedite cases. Good luck.
  2. Yep. Refused is different to denied.
  3. 19th Jan was only one working day ago. You'll need to be more patient, give it a few days and hopefully it will change to refused/AP/issued (and only when it changes to issued will you get the tracking number). Good luck.
  4. Have you had an expedite granted from the consulate? Or just NVC?
  5. Yes, we all took ours (2 adults and 2 teens).
  6. Just to be clear, she doesn't have 'approx 6 months', she will have a very specific date that she has to enter by, and that will be on her visa. Make sure she enters at least a few days before that deadline. Good luck.
  7. If you gave them a new address, it should have been changed. Nothing should be sent to your sponsor now you're a GC holder.
  8. You are asked to go up to a window, a few things are checked and you hand over your documents then sit back down to wait to be called for your actual interview. I only had a few documents though so it wouldn't have warranted a divider, I just had them in a clear plastic folder. They are very unlikely to take any new docs, they just want what is on the checklist. And yes, a backpack is fine as long as it's not too big. Good luck.
  9. Yes, each needs petitioning for separately. You don’t need to submit much now, most documents will be required in 20+ years when your siblings are eligible to apply for their visas. Follow the guide on VJ -
  10. Most applicants would want the I-130 to take longer for F2A, to protect the beneficiary from aging out, but I assume your sons are very young so there’s no danger of that?
  11. London’s one of the quickest consulates. I’d guess an IL in the next couple of weeks with an interview date in March. Good luck.
  12. Your sister needs to be aware that there's a good chance her children will 'age out' before they get visas, certainly the older one at least. What was the UK reference about if they're not there?
  13. OK. Your questions are all slightly odd to be honest, is there something you don't want your sponsor to know? Or the principal applicant? What is the exact situation you're trying to avoid? Have you entered the US already?

Not sure what you're asking, but if you have a job offer (which you need for this visa route) then your employer's immigration lawyers should explain it all to you. And you can read up it here too - https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/permanent-workers/employment-based-immigration-third-preference-eb-3 Note that it's not a quick route, so make sure your potential employer is happy to wait a few years for you to be able to start work.
  15. As above, your DQ date isn't really relevant as you had to wait for a long time to be added to the queue - people who were only DQ'ed in December will have had IL's but only if their PD's were current. So if you've only been current for 3 weeks but not had an IL, you'll be in the next batch. You are London I assume?
  16. Yes, very quick, ours were about a week. If you'll be there between now and moving you can apply for one in advance too. That's what I did, set up an appointment when I was going to be there on a business trip, and had it sent to my office and got them to open it and email me a scanned copy once it arrived.
  17. You haven’t said how you’re applying? But assuming these are the standard photos that everybody is asked for (rather than photos to prove a relationship), then it’s applicant only and two photos that are the same. Make sure you follow the spec given so they’re the right size etc. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos/photo-examples.html
  18. It's not a question of the 'best place', you generally have to be resident in that country (search the forum for 'consulate shopping' for more info). You can certainly ask but starting again at another consulate may end up taking longer in the long run so you would need to pick where to apply to carefully.
  19. Nope, no way of knowing in advance. Your employer doesn't need it for you to be able to start work though.
  20. The DQ date is only relevant if the PD is current, yours only became current this month it seems? So you will only been added to the interview queue a couple of weeks ago, hopefully you'll get an IL in the next batch as London doesn't have a big wait time. Good luck.
  21. What do you mean 'nothing was shown'? What does it say for each section (i.e. 'complete' etc)?? That should tell you what still needs to be done. Can you take a screenshot maybe (obviously block out any personal details or case number). Then people can look and tell you what's missing. Also, when was your I-130 approved? Seems like it's taken a really long time for you to get to this stage??
  22. Far better a longer wait than missing their second flight completely and having to stay overnight at an airport hotel. From NYC to DC, train maybe? It's only about 4 hours so I'd look at that too.
  23. And what stage is she at? If she's got her visa but hasn't entered the US on it, then she can just change her address when she arrives (take it typed out ready to give to the officer just for ease). If she has already entered and wants it sent somewhere else, it may be too late, but she can try filing the AR11.
