  1. Not sure what you mean by update? 2016 cases aren’t current so nobody that applied back then can get a visa yet.
  2. As said above, that’s immigration fraud and could result in him being banned from the US. But he’d still need the shot, or a waiver anyway - the vaccine requirements would still apply.
  3. It’s not really clear what you’re trying to do. On what basis are you trying to get her a US passport? Is your brother a US citizen?
  4. Has it definitely been accepted by London? You should have had your IL by now if so. What does your online status say?
  5. Ok, so you’re quite a way off him getting the visa. I agree with @Boiler, if your Mum doesn’t have her visa yet then the only option seems to be to delay hers until your son can catch up.
  6. You can apply for a I-601 waiver - there’s a whole forum below about them. Adds about a year to the process I believe.
  7. Then it will he much quicker than if you were F2A. When did you apply for them? If your Mum can’t stay (does she have to move in May or could she delay it??) then as above, you’ll have to go and look after them until they get their visas. You could try asking for an expedite but I don’t think you have a valid reason for it.
  8. A levels are below degree level (even associate degree). They’re the final 2 years of high school, 16-18.
  9. The wait time for an interview is very varied, and depends on the consulate. So which one is your case at? Please fill in your timeline, thanks.
  10. It would be breaking the law and class action lawsuits would be flying all over the place. There's no way any country has been issued over the limit IMO, I think people are just misunderstanding the numbers.
  11. It varies each year. The 25,620 is only an example ('i.e.'), as it depends on actual numbers (the employment based is at least 140k, not a max of 140k). The website linked to above is very reputable - I've not done the sums but I'd assume it's correct.
  12. Everybody has that status. It’s usually a good deal sign as it means final sign off is being done and the visa is being printed - our status was only AP for a couple of hours before it switched to issued. Yes, you’ll receive texts from DX with tracking info. And your online status will update too, although ours didn’t change until after we already had the passports back!
  13. Depends on the visa category - please fill in your timeline. But London is quick, so at some point in the next month or so. HTH.
  14. Ah didn't realise that as you mentioned timelines so thought you weren't aware of them. No, I went through it not long ago and have recently moved to the US - my timeline is on my profile. Good luck with yours, hope you're at a consulate with a short wait for an interview. 🤞
  15. Yes, absolutely. I wouldn't get your hopes up, as you have immigrant intent and it's going to be hard to overcome that, but you can certainly apply. If the application is refused, your mother will just need to keep visiting you until your IV is granted I'm afraid (or you can meet in a third country).
  16. You need to wait until your PD is current on the Visa Bulletin - currently those who applied before 8th Feb 2015 have visas available to them. The VB is released monthly, just bear in mind it's not linear and may not move forward at the same rate as time does. For example, a year ago it was 1st Dec 2014, so has only moved forward just over 2 months in a year. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-march-2024.html Once your PD is current, you'll then be added to the queue for an interview. Good luck.
  17. There isn't likely to be an update, but if they've charged you then you know they've received it. Which service centre is it being processed at?
  18. The timeline for the NVC steps is set out on their website which is updated weekly. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html But the interview wait once DQ'ed will vary hugely depending on the consulate, it can be a couple of months or even a couple of years for some consulates.
  19. Then you're not in AP, and I'd reckon you'll have your passport back by middle to end of next week. Good luck.
  20. Ah. No, I didn't go through extra AP or have to complete the 5535. As @Boiler said, are you a third country national? If so, which country?
  21. Just to say everybody has that - that just means the final step after interview and before the visa is sent to be printed. That's very different to being given a 221g which is 'proper' Admin Processing. My Admin Processing status only lasted a couple of hours before it changed to Issued (visa printed) - if you weren't given a 221g or DS-5535 then hopefully yours will change soon too. Good luck.
  22. Some people are only a week, some are months or even years. Everybody's case is different. Were you told the reason for it, were you asked to submit any other documents?
  23. Even if you can get a visa you’d need a waiver for it, and that’ll add 7-8 months. I wouldn’t have said it’s worth the hassle, cost or time when you can pop to Paris instead.
  24. Is there any reason you’re waiting to petition your brother? Given how long he’ll be waiting, if you know you’ll definitely be petitioning for him, I’d be inclined to submit asap to get his space in line. Is your brother married? If not, your mother can also petition him when she’s got her GC which may knock a decade or more off his wait. Good luck.
