OldUser reacted to Allaboutwaiting in I-751 evidence - detailed mobile bill needed?
You are fine, don't send the 60 pages.
Unfortunately, the process will very likely take over a year so they will probably require you to send newer evidence, such as next year's transcripts. So, send what you have and hopefully they will approve without requesting further evidence.
Good luck!

I don't know, some places say 6-8 weeks...
We have all other evidence, seems "risky" to wait potentially 2 months just for a filing that we can add later (I saw it's even possible to add online).
Worst case it's not like we can't submit the 60 pages...no?

In my case tax return transcript was available 3-4 weeks after filing taxes. Maybe worth waiting?

You posted this under Adjustment of Status from K-1. Why did you file an I-130?

Past proof of income through tax returns is helpful (sometimes)--current proof of income is essential. Collect three recent pay stubs and get a verification letter from your employer, attesting to your annual income (even if you are not salaried).

Details about emergency passports can be found here...
Unless it's a life or death emergency that you must travel at the end of May, I wouldn't be postponing my oath as you do not know when the next one that you would be invited to would be. But that's just me...

Sure, anyone with a spare $6k can file a WOM. Go for it.

Or @igoyougoduke's method of self-filing for ~$400

ASK for a copy of your medical exam at the interview - they're able to see it and print it for you.

OldUser reacted to Mr W & I in N-400 February 2024 Filers
Interview was completed yesterday and oath scheduled this morning. It was a very ‘painless’ process the questions weren’t too hard and I was in and out in probably 30 minutes from the car park. They didn’t ask to see anything outside of passport green card and ID. She told me after the oath my daughter and I could apply for passports and if she was to be without a valid passport she may have to apply for N-600 to prove citizenship. Good luck to everyone on this journey .

How is NVC related to this? This is naturalization / removal of conditions case. No visas, no embassies involved.

OldUser got a reaction from slavaskii in Request for Evidence on I-485 regarding I-864
You're right in thinking that. RFEs for I-864 are always like that - autogenerated and not specific.
I have no evidence, but I've been thinking for a while, some sort of AI / automation may be used by USCIS to generate RFEs.

OldUser reacted to R&OC in Has anyone filed Mandamus For I751. ----8 CFR § 216.4.
I filed a mandamus for two N-600’s after our cases got stuck forever. I was very concerned about possible pushbacks but it caused the cases to finally get adjudicated.

Yes people file mandamus on I-751 all the time. And if N-400 is pending while I-751 is pending - both get included in the lawsuit.

Tier 1 reps tell all sort of nonsence all the time, unfortunately. And the worst thing is: you cannot hold them accountable. There's so many people who followed bad advice from those folks only to find VJ was more factually accurate source of information. Travelling with original extension letter is challenging from time to time, let alone a copy.

I've just done the same the other day - same with a bunch of updated lease/insurance/bills from our recent move. I don't see how any of this could cause a delay quite frankly, especially since most recent cases are handled electronically.

She won't get an appointment before Tuesday. I would take the approved Advance Parole document and the notice of approval of the Green Card.

OldUser got a reaction from Redro in Legally working in the US prior to getting Green Card
Unless it's a dream job or position in very niche industry, I wouldn't bother continuing employment with the firm based in NZ.
Here are the reasons:
1) You cannot legally work until you get SSN + EAD (after marriage and filing AOS packet)
2) When you have SSN + EAD, is the pay competitive with what US employers offer? Coming from Europe I found salaries are higher in the US for skilled workers on average.
3) Are you ready to deal with tax implications related to working for remote employer in another country?
4) Don't you want to build US work experience to strengthen your employability in the future?
5) What timezone are you going to be working in? Is it worth it?
6) US employers provide medical insurance (very expensive). Are you going to pay it yourself?
Seems like you did a good job and your boss doesn't want to lose you, but sometimes it's just time to move on
When I was leaving to the US on work visa, my boss back in Europe was jokingly asking whether I can take him to the US 😂

Many people report seeing "Action was taken" with no visible changes. That's either a glitch on USCIS end or something internal. Maybe it gets send whenever your file is open (not necessarily when action was taken)
