    Yes, since you will be physically in the US this counts towards working in the US. If you're married to US citizen, such work will be forgiven if you're admissible.

    The cost is less than $20 at a CVS / Walgreens in California. I'd imagine it may be cheaper elsewhere.

    What does the passport say in "Nationality"? Does jt say "British Citizen"? If yes, you're not any different to Brits who never went outside of the UK.

    Yes, if you're a UK citizen. Remember, having passport is not a requirement for being a citizen. Many American citizens never had a US passport.

    No, you don't need anything else. Your - Valid foreign passport (good for 6+ months) - Expired GC - Valid extension letter Is all you need for 2 months trip overseas. I went on 4 international trips while I-751 was pending. Nothing special if you go prepared.

    I'm really sorry you went through this. Could / did your employer write an affidavit describing all of this? That could help your case.

    Not an issue at all. Passport is not required for I-751. Just get the passport renewed. Make scans of passport before renewing for your records and ask embassy to keep the old passport. Many countries cut corner of the old passport / punch holes and give it back.

    Assuming she knew the guy before meeting you, this really hurts your case, doesn't help. In USCIS's mind her real love was the guy from her school and you were just a source of income. Be very careful how you frame your relationship at the interview. You need your lawyer's help to practice and have a clear story.

    This is normal. Nobody gets info about their cases over the phone with exception when Tier 1 officer makes things up to get an immigrant off the phone.

    USCIS case processing is known to be unfair and inconsistent. And this applies to all types of cases, not just K-1. There's people who waited for 44 months to get I-751 approved, when average time was 6-12 months. I understand your frustration though.

    Sorry to hear about your situation. Did you include copy of divorce decree in your submission or reply to RFE? It looks like you have to get ready for the interview. Will your lawyer be attending it?

    @MK878 I'm not your immigration or family lawyer. However, it's in your interest to finalize divorce ASAP. Give him whatever he needs and close this chapter. Unless you're splitting millions of dollars or fighting for the kid (which I realize may be the case), it's easier to move on. This will give you final divorce decree which will allow you to get I-751 approved and stay in this country. If your I-751 gets denied, you can refile quickly a new I-751 with all good evidence with divorce waiver. But if you delay it, you may be put in removal. Which is a lengthy process, but may get you deported eventually if you don't get it right.

    In the additional evidence I'd think. It's not required, but it would be in your interest to make sure IO is aware of I-751.

    You mean your I-765 got approved at lightspeed? Yes, this happens to tiny number of lucky filers. Did they send card for production yet?

    Are you travelling next Monday? If not, go to the place in appointment letter and try to do your biometrics earlier. Not guaranteed, but many ASCs allow walk ins if you ask for help. Rescheduling is 50/50 success based on what I've read.

    The primary reason USCIS needs the passport is to see any stamps / visas related to your US immigration. The passport doesn't have to be unexpired or valid when you show it to IO.

    That's good to know, thank you. @mark08 can also confirm whether old passport will be taken away. When I renewed passport last, I kept the old one. It just got invalidated by cutting a corner.

    Can you wait on renewing your passport until after the interview? I don't believe it's needed for ceremony
