  1. Adding my timeline here, Locator 55, expedite: - 8/26: Applied at a local USPS - 8/31: DOS website showed "In Process" - 9/12: Approved - 9/14: Passport book received - 9/17: Passport card received Now awaiting the naturalization certificate to come back
  2. Congrats! Btw, I am guessing your interview / location is not in Australia? (and you just happened to be living in Australia for a while so you'd need a police clearance) The Sydney consulate has a ridiculous backup.
  3. My wife has received DQ in early Aug, we're literally shocked to see the severe backlog of IR1/CR1 interviews in Sydney. Many consulates in the world have been up to speed, e.g., Montreal Canada currently it seems only 1-2 mo b/w DQ and interview letter. I am writing a letter to my senator to complain -- there's literally no way this back-up is fair or acceptable.
  4. Thank you! Guess I am gonna make a photocopy of my DL just in case...
  5. For DS-11 first-time applying passport after naturalization: Is the photocopy of the naturalization certificate also sufficient to satisfy the "photocopy of ID" requirement? That is to say, I don't need to bring a photocopy of my driver's license, etc? Thanks!!
  6. @AKKH thanks very much, this is an amazing thread. I did some research, although each consulate may have their own process, but with the excellent crowd-sourcing threads in the Canada forum 1. Montreal F2A tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1phSTiwuIBzBBDGDSwBTgA6iwPt6vhWgd_JQWlHoj7vE/edit#gid=0 2. Montreal IR1 tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LvnDvX95_tfWtTvsJJM49PDPPvPKal0WG2rgdZHhsz0/edit#gid=1797779787 Average wait time from DQ to IL for F2A is well above one year, while that wait time for IR1 cases are almost non-existent: it's just one month. In case anyone in the future comes across this thread, IMO it is a no-brainer to do the F2A to IR1 upgrade, plus that is also legally the most accurate state of your case anyways after citizenship.
