  1. The year where you're sponsoring an immigrant is not the year to delay filing your taxes.
  2. Omg keep the stress under control!! So happy you are doing everything to make her happy. Happy wife, happy life! ENJOY EVERY MOMENT. I’m trying my best to stay cool until interview day 🤞🏻
  3. Believe me, I am so agitated right now and terrified of AP. It is the worst step lol. It’s recommended and not required. Most people don’t even bring anything to the interview and are more than fine. Don’t forget to send proof of bonafide marriage. Wishing you the best, and enjoy your honeymoon!!
  4. Updated family book is not required for Jordanian beneficiaries. You may upload all the evidence under “others”, aside from chat logs. It’s not required just recommended. But for civil and financial documents it is REQUIRED.
  5. I actually will be lol. I just don't trust Aramex enough to handle all of it correctly. I'll be bringing a copy of the same documents on the day of the interview. I heard last week they (could be the embassy during document handling) lost an applicant's original marriage contract and issued a 221g. Rare but it happens. I'd bring additional 2x2 photos to the interview too.
  6. Make sure to upload any updated documents to CEAC! It's not enough to only send them through Aramex. Haha, I wouldn't take the risk either. So happy this journey is almost over for you guys. What a turn of events!
  7. So if you want the medical to be just a few days before the interview, let it be with Dr. Amy. If you want it up to 2-3 weeks before, let it be with Dr. Agnes. It's entirely up to you based on how soon you plan to travel after visa issuance. Yes, the documents should be sent through Aramex at the Khalda/Tlaa Al Ali branch in Amman. It's for free and you send everything through them. If you don't live in Amman, you may send your documents through your local Aramex branch for a small fee but there's the fear of delays. On the day of the interview, the applicant's name will be on a list and you'll just say your name and if it's on the list they'll let you in (I still recommend bringing the Jordanian ID, because your passport will have been sent through Aramex). Now here's the only nuance: if your medical is just a few days before the interview, then you can either agree with the panel physician to bring a coloured copy of your passport OR you can simply not send it through Aramex and just bring it with you on the day of the interview, however many people are uncomfortable with the latter. I booked my medical a couple of weeks before my interview, as I don't want to worry about the whole passport thing. But that's because my husband and I plan to travel as soon as the visa is issued. For someone who has business to wrap up before heading to the US, I recommend they book their medical a few days before the interview as that would give you an extra 2-3 weeks before your visa expires. Your visa expires 6 months after your medical.
  8. https://greencardpetitions.com/cspa(child_age_calculator) Calculate his CSPA age. For date when petition became current - input the date of the NVC welcome letter.
  9. They’ve sent out a batch of IL today. Covered end of DQ DEC and reached DQ JAN 6th scheduled for April (from what I’ve SEEN, but may have actually reached first two weeks). Amman is officially scheduling IR1/CR1 DQ’d in 2023!
  10. This morning Amman sent out interviews for IR1/CR1 category of DQ up to 25 Dec 2022 for April. Congrats!! I just came here to update that at the same minute you posted. Ask away.
  11. I’ve seen no issues with Israel PCCs getting lost even when they send them to a US Embassy abroad, so I wouldn’t worry.
  12. No need to send the old I-864 and I-864A through Aramex (or document drop off if your brother is coming to Jordan for his interview). That information is technically outdated anyway! Fill out a new I-864 for your parent to sign and I’m assuming the new I-864A is to be signed by you. You’ll need to provide 2021 tax transcript + W2/1099 too as right now they’re the most recent tax returns that can be requested. Uploaded the updated documents to CEAC + let your brother send them to the embassy. Good luck!
  13. How do you send unsolicited evidence for a form that isn’t filed online?
  14. Congrats! Lucky you for your interview only being a month away! My interview will be exactly 2 months after IL
  15. If your interview is after the tax filing deadline (this year it's April 18), then you do.
  16. It is not acceptable. They don’t care that you haven’t been back. In their eyes you’re a citizen and can obtain a new one any time. DO NOT RISK IT.
  17. If you got the DQ message / email, you’re in line for an interview.
  18. Should have been under W2 just because that’s what they asked for.
  19. Just give them what they want. Letter explaining there’s no W2 nor 1099s for the years in question. If you don’t include that they’ll ask for the 1099 😂
  20. Not really asking what a specific CO will do, just trying to see if there’s hope of tax returns being accepted at the interview. I’ve seen evidence to the contrary, but I’m inviting anyone with a positive experience to share.
  21. It’s not that I haven’t read the instructions, it’s that COs ask for what they ask for. The NVC instructions say you don’t need to bring financial documents to the interview if you’ve submitted them on CEAC. In reality people get 221g if they don’t in US Embassy Amman. So I’m looking for personal experience.
