  1. I plan to upload everything to CEAC before the interview but my question is if I’ll get a 221g because the CO might prefer a transcript?
  2. Like the question says. I want answers from personal experience or from reading any discussions here on VJ. Our tax transcript probably won't be available by the time of the interview, so keep that in mind. If they do accept tax return (1040) + W2, should I bring other forms like state tax, form 8889 (health savings account), form 1099-INT (interest income), and form 8879 (authorization for e-return), or are the 1040 + W2 enough for purposes of the affidavit of support?
  3. No, they just send you the same wording online and in mail, but if you respond online it’s faster and you don’t need the mailed notice. Only people who are mailing their response to the RFE need their original notice to remind USCIS what the original RFE was for, but if it’s online it’s easy for them to access what the RFE was.
  4. Don’t waste your time fighting it. An RFE means approval is right around the corner. Give them what they want — fill in the form with today’s information and submit it online. No need to mail it.
  5. It isn’t irrelevant. Read about Adam Walsh Act. It makes petitions stuck at the USCIS level. Sorry OP I have nothing to add.
  6. Keep in mind you’re F2A. If you’re DQ Nov 2022 and expect your interview letter this month, your embassy is stellar. F2A interviews in Amman are stuck in DQ March 2021 or around that period.
  7. They sent out a batch of interviews yesterday covering the end of DQ November and entering into DQ December 14th apparently.
  8. Sorry you’re going through that I thought your husband got the visa by now. It can take some time… I’ve seen it take 5-7 months in Amman. I also saw it take over a year with a Palestinian female beneficiary (living in Palestine but interviewing in Amman).
  9. Mashallah!!!!! I’m soooo happy for you!!!! Alf mabrouk!!!! That is absolutely great, everything will work out perfectly for you!
  10. Hello! Are you DQ’d yet?

Hello! Yes, finally received a DQ today :)

  11. I hope so for your sake just because you’re so close They might, who even knows how they work? Just want you to know if they send in your IL in February and you get your interview date after April 18, then your wife will have to present your 2022 taxes at the interview.
  12. @chadonius @Tiff2 @Lana2542 @lwheeler For US citizen petitioners IR1/CR1 who became citizens by jus soli (by being born on American soil), the original American birth certificate is now being requested by consular officers. This is for “proof of US citizenship of the petitioner”. This is not being requested for joint sponsors. A colored copy no longer suffices. A colored copy of the US passport no longer suffices. I would suggest you bring it with you if you’re visiting your spouse. Many 221g’s have been issued lately, and it’s no longer random cases. This does not apply to US citizen petitioners who acquired citizenship by naturalization or CRBA. This is the 221G being given at the interview. By “PET” they mean petitioner:
  13. I just saw DQ 28/11 was sent an IL. Did you get one?
  14. Allah yebarek feek! You’re so close 😐 Please keep us posted if they send you anything…
  15. We got an IL today! They sent out a batch until DQ 27/11/2022!
  16. I did not. It’s shocking, because they’ve been doing 3 months at a time for 4 months now
  17. Jan 18th IL batch Covered weeks of DQ October to be scheduled for the first 3 weeks of March. Praying that they’re not slowing down now.
  18. Hopefully rest of DQ Oct, all of Nov, and first couple weeks of Dec 22
  19. Oh, I can imagine your excitement! They usually send them out Friday. Last Friday they sent out F2A interviews. For spouses of US citizens we’re expecting this Friday or the next!
  20. 09/26/22 - sent to DOS 09/30/22 - case creation Is your petition family or employment based? Employment based petitions take longer, about 3 months, please join this thread to connect with other people like you and get advice on what to do.
