Romin got a reaction from MASH in Why are cases being sent to centers that are severely backlogged?
For example Nebraska and certain other centers have 7-15 months of processing time, while California has over 2.5-3.5 years!? Just found out my I-130 for spouse as USC, just got send to California...this doesn't make any sense. Wouldn't they want to distribute eventually to all service centers? Could someone explain

I would not worry about much since you just filed. Cases get moved around center processing times speed up and slow down. Also by the time those times are posted, they are already about 2 month (or there about) old.
Following those timeframes will just get you depressed.
I recommend you spend time getting to know your spouse better and making your case a stronger one for the embassy stage.

Spoke with live chat and they say my case is in California...which is currently the worst for US citizens at 2-3 years WOW...just sad/depressing sigh

Check the advice from @hunny&me in this thread, to find out where your petition is currently assigned --

In Emma >> Live Chat >> select Case Status >> select Connect to Live Chat ... continue answering automated questions (Receipt Number, etc).  Then, ask your question.   Eventually a person answers.. (at least on mine).

If you are using your passport as your only evidence of US Citizenship, then upload all the pages.

Instructions are to write full name, not "sign".  Interpret instructions literally.  No "in other words".  No need to deal with the back of the photo when filing online.  That's for filing by mail.

The foreign spouse's passport is not needed at the petition stage, unless  you're using it as evidence of time spent together in person.

Read the I-130 instructions.  Nothing is required to be notarized.   Anything not in English needs to be translated with an accompanying certification by the translator.

    Fill in your A number.

Chinese documents would be at least one exception to the above, as they must be official translations from the Chinese government office.  But, essentially, this is correct.  Note also that to Notarize is something very different from to "Certify" a translation, or a copy of a document.

Important advice is to read instructions and form questions carefully, interpret them literally and act accordingly.  Avoid the temptation to engage in "in other words" kinds of thinking.  The actual words on forms and in instructions are (with few exceptions) carefully chosen and intended to be understood "literally".

It is perfectly acceptable -using squares instead of images is customary for professional translations-.

Seems our story is similar, but just husband is the beneficiary for me.  Here are the evidence I provided.  1.) Evidence of Relationship - 49 pages - consist of 14months of video call logs, FB posts, receipts of cargo shipments, flowers, food deliveries, greeting cards (just envelopes showing stamps) we send each other, then receipts of my travel and boarding passes.  Then our Wedding Day, and after wedding day photos with family (both sides) and friends we visited (dated and named people in pictures). - 5 separate PDFs.   I also added him as my spouse for my health insurance at work, so I provided the the verification pf coverage.  And lastly, when I filed the I-130, I used my married name.

Answers would depend on which interviewing consulate.  Please update your VJ profile with the beneficiary's country of residence.

Romin got a reaction from Lady Rain in Feeling depressed, is CR1 processing really taking 2 years+ for US citizens?
Hi guys, I am a US citizen who recently got married to my wife who is Nepali. We don't have any kids. I didn't realize until recently that the process to get her here via CR1 could actually take more than 2 years!? Is this really true? Seems very depressing if so, I wish I had gone the K1 fiancee route
