  1. No changes for me on documents since Dec 6th email. They did change my case from Moscow->Poland on Friday Dec 9th since all Russian cases are going to Poland by default.
  2. The response I got had a lot of words and no substance, probably the same canned response as yours? The National Visa Center (NVC) changed the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General processing **Mrs SimplyTex**'s petition to the Embassy/Consulate General in WARSAW, POLAND. Your new case number is WRW******** . The documents you submitted will be reviewed soon. We will let you know whether we complete your case or if we need more information. Current processing times are posted on our website at https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes (English) or https://nvc.state.gov/plazos (Spanish). If you need to correct or re-submit a document, we will send you an email stating that you have a message in your Consular Electronic Applicant Center (CEAC) account. Return to https://ceac.state.gov/iv and click on the View Messages button to read our comments and instructions. To see whether documents are missing or need to be deleted and re-submitted, you should open these tabs: · Civil Documents · Affidavit of Support Documents and Financial Evidence You can also check the status of the items you submitted and your case in general in your CEAC account. ***FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial sponsors, joint sponsors, and applicants should be aware of the responsibilities arising from a sponsor signing an I-864 and the consequences of a sponsored immigrant's acceptance of federal means-tested public benefits. 3. So, I've heard that number thrown around a lot as a defacto-standard for Russian's trying to get Schengen visa... Just FYI, I don't think it's true because my wife doesn't meet that threshold (I told her to start spending down Rubles as they basically aren't transferable these days.) Instead, when applying for the visa, I included a letter stating that I would provide financial support, and copies of my bank statement, payroll info, etc. Didn't have any issues with it. Btw, there are minimum standards but not to the level of 300k rubles, usually depends on length of stay, etc. https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/schengen-visa-application-requirements/means-subsistence/
  4. Unfortunately, but it turns out that I'm not alone in this situation, which honestly makes me feel a lot better. I'm happy that I'll see my wife on Saturday for three weeks, so that will take a bit of the stress away for the time being!
  5. Maybe something on this page? https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-rs/niv/information/contact_us
  6. Hmm this is kinda a mixed question, first about missing the first planned interview, second about a transfer. I think regarding transfer, the sound of it is Jerusalem embassy has been pretty responsive, this is holiday season and I'm not sure how it's observed in Israel/at the embassy, but might be worth giving a little more time and then bumping the email Regarding the reschedule of interview, I think that you have to wait until the interview date goes by... but definitely not confident on that. Someone more experienced than I probably can input here. I'm wondering if you can provide a copy/paste or screenshot of the Poland embassy response? If you do plan to try again in Poland, I highly suggest trying to get a Spanish or Italian visa, and provide a bunch of docs as the US spouse/financial sponsor and a letter that it's just a tourist trip, etc. Our Italian visa was approved in 10 days.
  7. Average wait time seems to be decreasing for Warsaw, see my post here Yes, only your wife can attend the interview (go into the embassy.) Your child and you have to wait outside of the embassy. Getting a visa to Poland is unlikely, it is better to try to apply for visa for Spain, Italy, or Greece. It is unlikely that you can switch to Turkey. People are having some luck transferring to Israel, and possibly Serbia, see this thread
  8. A lot of people are seeing that recently, myself included. I filed October 26 and got the email Tues Dec 6 https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/793307-nvc-status-change-email/ Edit: also, what date did you submit all documents to NVC?
  9. I got a response in one day, but it was not helpful and nothing on my CEAC page has changed.
  10. Surprisingly, they replied to my new inquiry form from yesterday today already, actually with a "response"... Which of course is just a canned response. The documents you submitted will be reviewed soon. We will let you know whether we complete your case or if we need more information. 11. @powerpuff @TBoneTX Could we merge two threads with basically same intent? This one and this:
  12. Haha, yeah I figured, I'm leaning into the "NVC is just trying to get an end-of-year KPI target for bonuses" conspiracy instead 🤪
  13. The funny? annoying? stupid? thing is... what they asked for in the response to my inquiry... isn't asked for or even available to input on the public inquiry form, which I had filled out completely the first time around! So stuff like my DOB and invoice number, I've just included in the 'questions' field as well....
  14. The only thing that was missing was Invoice ID and my DOB, both of which the agent listed as 'or' statements. But yes, have just resubmit with literally everything... And going to get started with my Rep's congressional office. I'm not exactly someone to sit by idly haha!
  15. Oh lordy, I'm absolutely infuriated by how inept some of the NVC handling is. This is the response I just received: For reference, my inquiry included: Original case number Principle Applicant (my wife) name, and DoB My Name And the request that they review, or at least provide an update on, the submitted documents. So, resubmit inquiry again and hope for the best? What an incompetent response.
  16. HA! I just got a reply from NVC public inquiry form from last Wednedsay... To put in another public inquiry? What in the mixed up world of government logic is this? For reference, my inquiry included" Original case number Principle Applicant (my wife) name, and DoB My Name And the request that they review, or at least provide an update on, the submitted documents.
  17. What was your original date of doc submission, and I'm assuming from your post history, that you just got this email this morning?
  18. The phone lines were suspended in May, so you can't call in anymore https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/nvc-contact-information.html : "Important Notice Effective May 23, 2022 To address critical backlogs, the National Visa Center has suspended our public inquiry telephone line." I'm hopeful to hear something in the next week, the fact that something did happen on Friday for me gave me a glimmer of hope that this didn't just get rubber stamped and ignored...
  19. My wife's documentation was all submit Oct 26th. Tuesday Dec 6th, got an email that 'something has happened' and to check CEAC. Logged in, and nothing - no messages, no change in any document status. A few days later on Friday Dec 9th, we get an email that the Case ID and interview location has been updated (Moscow->Warsaw) but still no changes to documents (there was a message saying the case ID had changed.) I submit an inquiry form on Weds Dec 7th 'just in case' because I'd rather bother them to do something, than nothing at all. Also, I read several different posts who said, its better to add W2/1099 to AoS 'Additional Documents' so I did that on Dec 9th (the same posts were saying that uploading to 'Additional Docs' shouldn't reset my waiting time....)
  20. Join this thread, you will see when people who submit around the same time as you start to get notifications. Seems like they are doing up through about Nov 6th/7th as of yesterday.
  21. Yep, I had the same. Couple other folks as well. I'm starting to think, NVC is just 'clearing cases' without actually doing the work, so that their statistics look good for the end of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual backlog was slightly longer, and that we see a slowdown in Jan/Feb as they actually finish doing the work...
  22. Do you know the exact date that you submit the required documents?
