OP., first, you got PLENTY of advice, especially with regards to the age difference and the fact that she's sending you money. Just because it wasn't the type of advice that you were expecting ("It's all going to be good", "No need to worry", etc) it doesn't mean that no advice was given. People here want you to be prepared for the uphill battle that you'll face (because you will have it hard). You said that she sends you money, that she is 55 but she doesn't look 55. Put yourself in the CO's shoes, or even better, imagine a friend of you came with the same story: you make it look as if she was your sugar mamma.
The point that everyone is making here is that you have to present solid, good evidence that you entered the relationship in good faith and not for immigration purposes. Money transfers and beauty are not solid evidence. What do you have to counterbalance this?

One thing I have learned on this website is that people will not say things just to be positive if there isn't a reason to be positive. You are facing an uphill battle, no matter how much you love your wife. You need to think constructively about what will happen if you cannot get a visa. Is your wife willing to move to be with you? My husband is here with me because I did not want to move permanently to his country. He gave up a lot to be here with me, for which I am grateful. Every day. But I know that if he had to leave here, couldn't live here for any reason, I would be on the plane with him back to his home.

You need to consider her commitment to YOU as well as yours to her. If she's not willing to think about moving heaven and earth to be with YOU, what does that mean? I truly wish you the best of luck, but please consider the comments here in the spirit they're offered: to temper dreams with some realism.

So you have met three times total, correct?  And married on the first visit.  Did your wife submit documentation of all three visits, to show how many days/weeks/months you were physically together, such as passport stamps, original boarding passes, hotel receipts with the I-130 petition and later at the NVC stage?  I agree with others that the 29 year age gap could be a big challenge coming from Pakistan which can be a long difficult embassy to deal with even in more solid cases, a denial is quite likely if you did not submit any evidence of time spent together in person, which so far you have not mentioned, only chat records and money sent to you.  Try taking more quality evidence to your interview, they may or may not look at it but it's worth trying.  If your visa is denied, I suggest spending more time together, multiple trips, and submit that evidence.  You can even do some financial co-mingling while living in separate countries, we submitted evidence of health insurance, joint credit card, beneficiary on life insurance, retirement accounts, joint IRS tax transcript, etc. with the I-130 or NVC stages,  plus documentation showing time spent together (in our case before the visa interview, it was a total of 8 visits), and were approved with a 27 year age gap.  So it can be done but you need more quality evidence than chat logs and sending money.  She may have to move to Pakistan if you want to be together soon and then try a second time if the first attempt fails for lack of sufficient bona fide marriage evidence.  Good luck!

    factors about age:
how much of an age difference?
Is USC retired or close to retirement as the following are issues (like income is less after retirement and she could not add u to medicare health care)
why both of those important u may not be able to find a job fast and need her income and insurance benefits

the other factors that are important for your  spouse visa are:
the amount of time you have spent together
    your work experience
    your education
your age (to many prospective employers)
your knowledge of her, her family,  her past marriage(s),  the area she lives in (all things about her)
and from experience of Loves to teach  ( VJ member from your embassy )  "how many times you or she was married and if divorced,   are divorce papers certified by court

Hello all to be honest it's up to you some people have good results long results and bad results. I had once thought about the k1 just to have my family here at that time is was not which one was moving faster to me it was about my finance and would I be able to keep paying after they got here my husband and 2 daughters. I know he wouldn't be able to travel work nothing and I didn't want him to get bored and I don't even know if the kids would have been allowed to go to school with no ss# but then I thought again about the extra money and extra filing and this and that. I decided to go with CR1 yes it takes longer but they won't have to go through half the stuff k1 goes through. I am waiting for Haiti embassy they have been doing k1 interviews left in right while CR1/IR1 are waiting since 2019 but because of the covid one put a halt there and also with K1 they don't get so much into it because after 90 days you will have to file more paperwork and pay more money when then they will go through as much time as us only good thing you family is with you. I agree so much with lucky cat and you can read all we write but it's up to you because only you know what you can handle. Do I regret not sticking to the k1 oh no but I miss my family crazy.

Just as a reminder as to why I think a CR-1 is superior for many couples.

Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation.
    K-1
        More expensive than CR-1
Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork)
Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 5-6 months)
Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 5-6 months)
Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period
Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed.
A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire

    CR-1
        Less expensive than K-1
        No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765, I-944) required.
Spouse can immediately travel outside the US
Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival.
Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US
Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport.
Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.

I'm about to start my K-1 journey, but after doing some reading here it seems like doing a CR-1 may be better, faster, easier.  It's my understanding under "'normal" circumstances a K-1 gets my significant other here quicker, but with Covid, and the hassles after she gets here (AoS, SS, etc.), would it be a better choice to just get married now, and file for a CR-1?  If it matters, she lives in Russia.

I know no one has a crystal ball, but just seeking advice from those that know much more about this process than me.  I have read a few posts from people who got K-1s, but afterwards, wished they had gotten a CR-1.  Opinions please.

By law, yes by law, an SSN is not required or a lack of one is not a bar to obtaining health insurance. Despite that, there are many that remain ignorant of this fact and will attempt to deny coverage. One must be prepared to fight about this. The IRS explains clearly, that a health insurer may ask for such a number, but it is up to the individual to agree to share it, and if they don't want to, they don't have to. It may be given to the IRS directly, if there is a need to request.

Americans and immigrants alike have always found there are plenty of people eager to ask for such a private and personal number as an SSN, and may at times attempt to illegally refuse services contrary to law. Simply put, you can't give what you don't have, and you don't have to give it anyway. Most insurers will have regulations and instructions showing how to put in a placeholder number or date of birth, and that they may make several attempts to ask for this info, but it is not a blackmailing demand.

Since you have chosen this path to stay in the USA, and you haven't got the normal method of obtaining an SSN more quickly (a K1 can obtain before the EAD), you may encounter more barriers while waiting. I've seen some banks refuse individuals, and while this info is more helpful to a bank, there too, it is not a strict requirement. Banks can and do use other identifiers available, it just requires the supervisor to know what to do. If a bank won't serve you, go elsewhere to someone who will.

Sorry to hear what happened to you.

Although not required, it may help others if you contact the consulate to cancel your interview.

Contact the embassy and inform them you will not show up for the interview and wish to withdraw the visa application. That's the most forward way to do it.

You can of course just ignore the interview, not show up, and let it die on its own too.
