I went there yesterday my officer was kind enough to take my medical and she told me she was gonna approve me if i am not missing anything. I have been crying since i did not hear any update. i did not got rfe for it, i kept on pushing through congress thats how i knew. i made infopass appointment as mentioned earlier my officer was kind enough to take my old medical and approved it. It happens very rarely.

No guidelines changed from 2020-2022.  It will resume back to normal months in 2023.  Your letter will not determine either one.  It is based on the processing times of your local office, as they are the ones who will request your files when they are ready.  NBC can recommend a RFE be mailed if there are no issues with approval.

Finally my journey has come to an end. With God in the vessel you can smile at the storm 🙏🏽. To all members in this group just keep the faith because your time is coming . NYC filer….My vawa journey started Sept 2019 . I got  RFE June 2021 . Got C31 January 2022 and vawa approval notice June 30, 2022. I got rfe for medical Sept 2, 2022 and thanks be to God my I-485 was approved Sept 29 and I’ve now  received my green card in the mail . Thanks to this wonderful and supportive group 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I returned to USA with my new GC first time!!
Went to home country. Immigration officer asked me how long I was there and what I did (to see family). And then, he noticed my GC category and wondered about it. He asked "out of curiosity, how did you get your green card?" or something like that. I told him it was based on violence against women act. I was thinking.. are they going to start asking me about the abuse?
He said okay and said that he didn't see that category very often.
I think he was genuinely wanting to know about the category because he hadn't seen it before. this is interesting because I'm thinking they would know from training...
anyone have such experience?

October 2019 - Filed I-485 based on marriage
January 2020 - Interview was scheduled
February 2020 - Went to interview & requested my I-485 to be held in abeyance (already had EAD & AP card in January 2020)
March 30, 2020 - VAWA I-360 Receipt Date
April 2020 - Received Prima Facie Determination
August 2021 - Expedited Request to Renew EAD & AP got approved (my initial C09 EAD expired on July 2021)
March 21, 2022 - 2nd Prima Facie
May 31, 2022 - New Card Being Produced
June 1, 2022 - VAWA I-360 Case Was Approved
June 30, 2022 - Received i693 Deficiency Notice
Sept 2, 2022 - Congressperson placed an inquiry for my I-485 per my request
Sept 15, 2022 - Received RFE for i693
Sept 16, 2022 - Field Office received my medicals
Sept 23, 2022 - I-485 New Card is Being Produced

Thanks God my journey in the vawa process has come to end and I'm going to share with you all my timeline:

- 2017 - I got married.
- August 2018 - Sent I130,I485, I765, I131
- September 2019 - my ex-wife and I went to the interview
- November 2019 - I filed for Vawa while the interview decision was still pending
- December 2019 - Received a RFE for my good moral character, I sent the police record for all the places I lived in my entire life. I sent this information the same month.
- January 2020 - I filed for the divorce
- February 2020 - I got divorced 
- October 2020 - Sent the renewal for my I765 (pending I485)
- November 2021 - I360 card is being produced
- November 2021 - I765 (based on I360) approved - Card received same month
- December 2021 - I765 (based on pending I485) approved for two years - Card received same month
- February 2022 - I360 Approved 
- July 2022 - I485 RFE for medical exams
- September 2022 - I485 card is being produced ( no interview)
- September 2022 - Green card in hand valid for ten years
 
I wish you all the best. This forum helped me a lot and gave me support while I read t that I was not the only one in the same situation. I hope your cases will be approved soon. 
 
I will come back with a post again in three years when i file the application for my citizenship.

i485 just got approved and i693 form was mailed last Wednesday. October 2019 I filled both my i485 and i360 thank God.

I finally received my green card from my former attorney's office today. Thank you again everyone. My detailed timeline is posted in the signature section.  

My appreciation to Sandraj and every member of this great forum. I have learnt alot from this group, the advise and genuineness of what you all do for all is amazing.
