Update: Received a cancellation of RFE request on Monday after I'd gone and paid $130 to get new labs done, BUT turned out well as we got approved on Tuesday!!

Woke up this morning to see my green card was approved yesterday. 🎉

Rejected again this morning after 4 weeks of waiting, I don’t know what I am doing wrong? I am a licensed pharmacist in the UK, I have given my initial exams here to obtain my license, I have a valid offer of employment with the largest pharmacy chain as a Pharmacy Tech, I have not been working since January 2022, we have bills to pay as anyone else - why do I not qualify for an expedite? 98 days since application, 69 days since biometrics, how many more requests?!?!!!!!

Good morning! My husband's expedite request was granted and his work permit was produced this morning!!! Expedite was requested Feb 15 2023

Yep, been asking every day , they said its with an officer and awaiting adjudication. Will probably call them today and find out if there is any way of flagging it up, I’m at day 92 since applying and considering I’ve requested an expedite as healthcare professional I fully qualify now as its been more than 90 days.

Updated just means new date and signed again, we didn't change any wording

Just looked at my status this morning and my I-765 has changed to card is being produced!!!

You have to call Visa Medicals to schedule an appointment, they will ask for your LND number and give you options of first availability, as far as I know medicals are valid for 6 months prior to entry to the US, so just make sure that your medical date covers that time frame. Once schedules I received an email with instructions on what to bring, vaccination requirements and a medical questionnaire to complete, in terms of visa paperwork, they accept the email/letter sent by NVC which shows the LND number and visa type so I printed off a copy to take.

That would be lovely, can't help but feel like one of those people who get lost in the system for months/years. Just being able to work would be huge, shouldn't be this difficult.

Well turns out today was a day of surprises. My EAD just changed to card being produced about 20 mins ago

No RFEs or any movement on any of my forms in my packet so far. Really want my husband to be able to get a dang job 😂

My expedite response was same as yours, just received it today having sent documents on Friday. Thats with me being a healthcare professional with a valid offer of employment…honestly devastated 

Very pleased for you they got on with resolving it so quickly. Sometimes they dally around for a few days and Monday is a bank holiday (RIP Elizabeth II) which could have added on time. A 17-month process is crazy. I had my K-1 in hand 4.5 months from starting and I found the wait unbearable at the time. It’s never fast enough, no matter how much things have been streamlined to online; how is it taking longer and longer? 

As a tip, this is a great time to start filling out your adjustment of status papers and reading the AOS forums to learn where people have problems or mess up so you don’t make the same mistakes. Then you have a jumpstart on the mountain of paperwork. My US fiancé had almost all of it done by the time I arrived so we were able to file a few days after marriage. Then we could get on with settling in and enjoying the holidays with that behind us. (I arrived in October).

So having calmed down a bit from my initial rage - I did receive an email from the embassy yesterday around 4pm (same day surprisingly) which explained how to send in the required documents. I looked up my nearest courier depot which was  luckily only 20mins away and I noted they closed at 6pm. I got onto the phone with my fiancé and got him to email over the updated signed intent to marry, took this along with my signed copy and the courier documents as instructed online and left my house at 5:30pm!! Got there with 10mins to closing, I asked the lady at the counter when my documents would go out for delivery and she said it would be that same evening! I received an email at 8pm saying my package was on its way and tracking details, I checked this morning and they had been received by the embassy and I was relieved! To my utter surprise I got an update today at 12pm saying we had been APPROVED! 
 
Still in shock at how it all ended up working out and actually impressed by the speed at which the embassy processed our case, I was really worried we'd be delayed a further week or two, again thank you for all the support and reassurance - I know we're not in the clear just yet but after 17 months since we started this process, its definitely a celebration for today!

Yeah that's what I did, can't recall if it was required but I had it anyway just in case, I think the DS-160 is more important.
 
I can't remember how long it was exactly, but I was able to book my interview the next day after I had notification it was in transit. My interview was 2-3 weeks later and there were no issues. Can't imagine it takes long for it to reach the UK.

We entered on purpose in Detroit once, as to avoid JFK. Told the guy we were waiting for K1 and he said “good, that’s what we like to hear” asked for return flight and that was it. It’s so subjective, depending on the individual that you deal with. 

We had the same thing when we tried to call - we found a work around if you say ‘update details’ it should put you through to a person - that said she was very unhelpful also, we asked to speak to her manager again who was just as useless.

Its honestly so unacceptable! I’m getting more and more frustrated by the day that we’ve even had to wait this long given it was falsely advertised to us when we first applied. What is even worse is that there is nobody in a position of authority at USCIS taking any kind of control over this situation, they acknowledged the backlogs back in Feb and since then have done jack all in my opinion to resolve the issue..ARGH!!

Its honestly so unacceptable! I’m getting more and more frustrated by the day that we’ve even had to wait this long given it was falsely advertised to us when we first applied. What is even worse is that there is nobody in a position of authority at USCIS taking any kind of control over this situation, they acknowledged the backlogs back in Feb and since then have done jack all in my opinion to resolve the issue..ARGH!!
