Anyone has priority mail coming through USPS, got forwarded due to address change/forward. And then stuck at "in transit for more than week?" Do you guys received it after sometime or what should i do to get my EAD/AP if USPS lost it? Shall i still keep hope that they will deliver my mail after some days/weeks? Or it is lost? How i can ask USCIS for another EAD/AP? TIA,

My employer asked me to another EAD or else they will need to find my replacement while my EAD is valid, i sent same letter to USCIS, i am not sure if that worked or anyways USCIS was planning to approve my EAD.

USCIS does not forward mail if it has tracking number. That happened to me in 2019. USPS took the mail back then i called immediately to their customer service and told them to resend to original address that shows on the uscis mail. So called them to see if they can send you back at the original address.
It is not showing mail been send back as i did change of address and not mail forward. It is showing mail been in transit but giving any more information, even USPS rep not able to tell where mail is right now,

I hate my luck.
After much hassle USICS approved my EAD/AP. with tracking, it was supposed to be delivered on June 3rd. Mail got forwarded to new address on June 5tth. status changed till June 12th that mail is moving to next facility. I guess they lost my mail. There is no precise information where my mail is right now. I opened a ticket but of no use right now.
Anyone ever forwarded there mails? What i can do now?

Ah make sense, If abuser spouse filed for annulment than divorce, will it consider as fraud? Or impact the VAWA case? My spouse filled Annulment even without telling me, I only got to know after it got approved. mails has been sent on wrong address.

Hello everyone, I was checking stats of VAWA that USCIS publish for every quarter, I saw on average 3000-3500 cases are approved and 500-600 cases denied. I wonder why/what(reason) people receive rejection. Anyone following closely, will you please throw some light? What are common reason people receiving rejection. I saw rejection in VAWA is not common but but yet numbers are high. TIA<

Congratulations to everyone receiving their approvals.
All those are in line, have patience, good news are on the way for all of you, it is difficult time for all us but trust in god, we have wonderful family here helping us get through. Gratitude is not enough for all those helping us, @sandranj, @Stillwinning!!!😊 @Ana FL @Pinkrlion @Demise and @TBoneTX your jokes. Forgive me if i did not mentioned all names. But trust us, you all are in our prayers for your well being and happiness.
I do not come online more often but i am in the happiness those who received their approval and by your side who are distressed while waiting, i can feel your pain. I am in the same boat, perhaps more in bad shape than normal.

FP April 28th 2021,
May 28th 2021 New card being produced for I-765,
I-360 May 2020, 2RFES so far. So i am too early to hear back about my 360, too anxious. but optimistic, god bless you all,

Well here's the thing: You can't kidnap your own child unless there's a custody agreement in place that you would be violating by taking the kid out of the country. You do not need the spouse's consent to bring the kid abroad but you could make yourself inadmissible by withholding custody from a US Citizen parent. The correct way around this would be to sue for full custody in a state court.
Thank you Demise, i understood, I will convey the same to my friend. Just out of curiosity, what if she would have been divorced, staying away from her husband for more than year and would have got pregnant with her boyfriend? Would it have affected her VAWA as well?

No you do not need to fill separate i-765. Just check that box and once they will approve your VAWA you will get EAD.
If you are sending i-485 or already have pending i-485 then you can send separate i-765 now to get the EAD.

She will need to take his permission to take baby out of the country and he can file case for the custody of the baby. She just want to purge his existence from baby's life. Hello All, I hope everyone is doing great. I have two questions.
1. While sending I-360, If you check 12th point requesting EAD. do you need to attach separate I-1765 and 2 passport size photos with I-360 or mere checking that box is enough to get EAD once your VAWA is approved?
2. Asking for a friend. She filed VAWA and not living with her abuser anymore, she resent him so much that she do not want to give his name to her baby. Will it it cause problem if she will keep father section empty and give her own name to baby or as her first child? (She had one baby from her first marriage).

Sorry for the silly question. Let me give little background before asking question.
May 2020-VAWA.
May 2020-1st RFE, GM, Responded in June 2020.
October 2020 PF-Missed due to address change. got to know by congressmen they sent one.
November-2020- I-485.765.131 filed, I-131 receipt was missing so sent few communications asking for status and few mails updating address.
March 2021- 2nd RFE. 4 page long based on my case. Responded in April 2021.
April 2021 fingerprints for I-360 but after Fingerprints I-765 status updated and not I-360.
April-2021 wrote letter to expedite EAD as i am on verge to lose the job. Senator raise the same concern with USCIS as well (after FP).
May 2021-Status update, Case is under initial review.
1. Why their is too much of the movement on my case while others are in complete silence for 2 years? I could be wrong(most likely) but i sent too many mails to update the address, also asking for I-131, congressmen, senator, ombudsmen, I think i made them angry. I just wanted to make sure they have my correct address and I-131 with them.
2. Any experience how much time it takes for initial review? I am just 12 months into process.
3. I mentioned earlier, my best friend who was very vital proof of my weeding and abuse decides to blackmail me and not return money i gave him few months back when he was in need. Is it possible he did something that is causing this?

A few days ago I posted here that I almost gave up of my Vawa case. I did had a complicated case but I choose the truth. I told everything that happened on my Affidavit even when it didn’t look good. I was even told by people here that my case didn’t look good. I was desperate because I knew everything I went through. I was honest all the time. If you are reading this don’t give up and always be honest even when people have doubts about you.
I filed on August 13, 2019.
3 PF and no RFE.

Curious to know. If you file I-485/765, then file VAWA. Do they issue new Receipts for I-485/765 with EAC number after you file VAWA or they keep the same old receipts/case on hold? TIA

I am in odd situation now. As many of you know, i replied to my RFE. Guy who was really close to me and was witness of my marriage and abuse decides to blackmail me. I asked him to write statement for my RFE which he did. He did for my first RFE as well. He has some of my money i gave him long time back. Now when i am asking him money back, he said he wont give me back and also he will call USCIS and tell them I was in sham marriage. He asked me to forget money i sent him. Kind of guy he is some day he will try to put in immigration trouble. He smartly over the mails/chat and calls saying he has my money but nothing about black mailing. I am now more stressed. I am honestly clean. But not sure if he really decides to call USCIS, then how they will react.
I called police and his family, but they said i need to file civil small claim court case. I hate having friends like these.

Hello Sandra, thanks, will you please elaborate? I already sent my RFE response. Friend who witnessed my relation, was at wedding and saw abuse was the one covid positive. He mailed me documents through his friend. Thank you for second part. We thought its good idea to send covid test result in case they wonder why his statement is not notarized. He wrote me 1st affidavit as well when received first RFE and it was notarized. Are you saying it for safety concern?

No no, not the content. About format. I read one post where it said. Each statement shall have “I hearby “ otherwise it is not correct format. So was asking if affidavits need to be in this format. But regardless they wrote what they wanted and I already sent it USCIS. Need blessings

I sent with their ID’s. One was corona infected. Two lives in city where only essential services are available and complete lockdown inposed. Cant force them. Hope uscis will accept the fact.

Or, how about printing out emails that show the IP address? Highlight that, then send your notarized statement together with the emails attesting that the emails are legit.

One stays in US mailed me his original with ID and corona positive report.
two others are in lockdown and cnat get it notarized so emailed me. I print them out and sent it to uscis. Had no choice

I am having sleepless nights since i got rfe. Plus i had no more documents i could add. Cant risk waiting for long and then realize they still cant notorize it. May be bad decision but i took it already and sent what i had. Really need luck now. Hope i will sail through this fire.
