  1. Hi my name is aisha. I brought my husband here in USA in February 2021. He had CR1 green card. We submitted his form I-751. We received an extension. But I-751 is still pending. Now we submitted his form N400 for citizenship . His citizenship interview is in 2 weeks. But the letter he received, does not mention that his family (wife and kids) have to be there . So should he go alone to the interview? Or should we go with him ?

Something is not adding up with OP story.

You're 30 now. You naturalized 16 years ago (when you were 14). Your mother has been here since 2000. Question is....why didn't you petition for your mom immediately you turned 21? Why did you wait until you were 29 in 2022 to petition for her?

Additionally, your mother and your spouse aren't USC. So, how did you naturalize? Where did you get your N400 from?  Since you were 14 when tlj got it, someone must have given it to you.

Answering questions directly will help unravel why USCIS wants you to come in and not your mom.

I got my naturalization through my dad. I was confused. But the interview involve both my mother and I. I have contacted my lawyer. The answer is clear now. Uscis wants both of us at the interview

No I’m asking for myself. On my timeline, I have been a citizen for 16 years. In 2020, I petitioned for my husband to come to USA. Now he’s here.
now I’m 2022, I filed for my mom. My mom is already here in USA. She entered illegally. This letter is from her petition

Are you asking this on behalf of somebody else? As Boiler said, your post history/timeline is very confusing.

  4.  I’m U.S citizen filing I-130 for my mom.  We are both here in USA. She illegally entered usa in the year of 2000. I just got an interview letter. They want me to bring proof of citizenship and birth certificate.

    In this normal ?

also it doesn’t state in the letter that she has to be at the interview .
she has a spouse who is also us citizen

the Uscis did not say that I130 is approved or not approved, they want to interview me ?
    does this happen ?
    Please help  I

The US requirement is 3days not 72 hrs before your first departure.  Base on your timeline you flying from west Africa and i assume you may have a layover. So if your first flight leaves Tuesday  and test was done Saturday then you meet the requirement even if u arrive in the US on Wednesday or Thursday.

Thank you so much for the information. I truly appreciate it. I was a bit confused

Hi Fidel! Yes they asked us for the same, his interview was on dec 15th and we submitted everything they needed by the 31st and we just got the approval yesterday so I believe soon!!! U just have to keep emailing them!

My husband had his interview on 01/12/2021. They asked for additional documents . We submitted them after a week. We haven’t heard back from the embassy. When I contact them what should I say ? That I’m checking on the visa status ?
