You are way too picky. I have graduate degrees, and more than 8 years experience working in academia in my country. Yet I worked a low paying, night job at walmart for a while. I had another job in education in which I commuted for 60 miles, waited for two hours, then took two more buses for an additional 90 minutes. Wake up at 2 every morning so that I could be at work at 8. Thankfully, that was a temp job, because it was difficult on me.
Currently, I have a better paying position and my commute time is 45 minutes. Yes, I use two buses because I can't drive. Honestly, if you really want a job, and don't live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, you can find one.

    Hi,
Being Egyptians has nothing to do with this. The U.S. Embassy under international law must follow local laws on child custody and passports. The Egyptian employees are not using their judgments, they are following the law as instructed by their U.S. Government employer.

It doesn't matter. A tourist visa holder does not have a right to enter the U.S. CBP has the authority to deny entry to A tourist visa holder if she can not overcome the burden of proof that she does not intend to immigrate and intends to leave the U.S. after visiting. It's her burden to prove she doesn not intend to immigrate. Based on the circumstances, it sure looks like she was planning on staying (and on the fact that she is trying to get back here).Based on the fact that she is trying to get back here, how would show she does not have the intent to immigrate?

Basically you do not have a basis to stay based on marriage.

Here's another view that you really need to consider.
You just took a child who you don't know, is not related to you, and you have no legal custody of, to the states.
You have no right to the child, and I don't think that he can adopt a child within the states as a possible lpr.
    This is bad.

She can certainly apply, however 7 months pregnant with a husband in the US will be difficult to overcome the presumption of immigrant intent
Personal question - are you desperate for her to come to the U.S. so she will have the baby there?
    good luck

7 months pregnant is not a good time to be flying half way around the world.
She is looking I presume to travel later. Leaving 2 children behind may help.

    Hi,
What would be your girlfriend's basis for staying in the US after finishing school? A student visa does not allow a person to immigrate to the US. A student visa allows a person to come here to study and return home.
If she gets a green card somehow, she has to go marry you abroad in order to bring you here. A green card holder can not bring a fiance to the US; only US citizens can bring a fiancee to the US. The process will take 2-3 years after you get marry and she files for you.
    Best of luck

JeanneVictoria reacted to Miranda&James in Finally a Citizen! - Interview & Ceremony experience, Atlanta
I had my interview yesterday in Atlanta and passed. Now finally a citizen! woohoo.
We drove up from Alabama the day before and stayed at a hotel down the street from USCIS to be sure there were no delays and we got there on time. They don't let you check-in earlier than 30 minutes from your appointment, but you can go inside and clear security and wait if you like., They have vending area and restrooms etc.
Interview took less than 10 minutes. Aced the test, didn't have to provide any evidence (I filed based on 5 year residency) and he marked my case as approved. I was booked in for the same day oath ceremony later that day. The ceremony was quite brief, they were expediting it as there was 100 people taking the oath! We swore allegiance, watched a video from the president and accepted our naturalization certificates. Glad it's all over, what a ride. Now to update SSN, driver's license, get a passport, register to vote...
    Good luck to everyone else!

There has to be a lot more to your story. If your father's arrest was a "misunderstanding" and it wasn't domestic violence then why didn't your mother defend him?
From what I understand, your dad has been in the US illegally for 15 years and he was 4 years in jail for domestic violence. He abused the immigration system and he was in jail. Letting a person like him stay would be a slap in the face to all the legal immigrants who came here following the immigration law to the letter. You are an adult. You can get a job and support your mom.

sounds like it was not a bona fide marriage and more like an arranged one. You are avoiding to answer our questions, who has supported all this years? sorry but you aren't getting a green card in the situation you are in.

At least twice people have given you questions that they needed you to answer in order to better help you. Without your answers, what this looks like is that you care more about dealing with a green card, rather than help dealing with your marriage. Your responses have only been more questions about the green card.
Can you please answer the appropriate questions and give more detail/information so that people can better help you? I know there could be a language barrier, but if you don't answer, it sounds fishy, and we don't condone fraud.

If you're working, stop as you're not working legally. Talk to your husband, ask about reconciliation. If he says no, return home.

I'm going to ignore the fact it does sound like all you want is a green card and focus on your marriage. How have you been surviving?
    Where have you been living?
If you and your husband have not been together for three years but are trying to be, then I don't understand what you've been doing all this time.
    Things to remember.
    - you are officially out of status and illegal in america.
    - a green card for you is based on a bonafied marriage that is real and works, yours isn't working so high chance for denial again.

Sounds like you're more about the green card rather than the marriage. Marriage first, than worry about the green card. Where are you living? How are you surviving? Are you certain that you're still married? Is he in contact with you?

You are out of status now and need to return home. Without a genuine marriage to your petitioner, you have no path to a green card.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I told my sister and she was very supportive and cried with me. I plan on telling mom and other family members over the weekend.
I am definitely not filing any paperwork. He called a few times today and I didn't answer the phone. I know I will be ok but right now I am still hurting.
    thanks again for listening

You posted " He told me that he is now caring for and acting as father to his niece". Are you sure this child is his niece and not his daughter?.
To make sure he is with you for the right reason, tell him you will live with him in his Country, and wait to see his reaction.I have a feeling he will vanish after that.
