  1. No, the estimates given in the USCIS profile are not accurate.

  4. *** Topic moved from DCF to K1 forum *** it’s not optional. You must provide any and all social media handles used in the past 5 years even if was once.
  5. It’s 01JAN10 now. Your PD is not current. There is nothing to do until it becomes current.
  6. What you quoted has to do with G-1145 (e-notification of application/petition acceptance) with I-129f, but filing I-129f online. did you also try to call USCIS or chat with the agent online? I would try that as well and see what happens. If all of the above doesn’t work, then it’s time to contact your congressional representative or senators office and also submit a request with CIS Ombudsman. 6 months is too long to wait for NOA1.
  7. Related threads merged. Please keep all follow up questions and updates in this thread only. did you follow the advice in the link I posted back in December? I’ll quote it here again:
  8. What reply are you referring to? Notice that they received the petition or approval?
  9. The list of acceptable documents are in the I-9 form on page 2. Foreign passport and temporary DLs are not on that. You can’t get a state ID? I don’t suppose there would be any delays with that..
  10. I went right after I would. But he can definitely start applying. Hiring takes time so by the time he gets an offer letter, he will probably have the unrestricted card. The choice is ultimately yours of course. If you’re okay with presenting a GC rather than DL with unrestricted SSN and dealing with the potential scenario I mentioned above, then that is certainly your prerogative.
  11. It’s HIGHLY and strongly recommended to go to an SSA office with a GC to take that language off. Do yourself a favor - when presenting documents to an employer for I-9 purposes do NOT give your GC. Give a DL or a state ID AND an SSN card without the DHS restriction. If you give your GC, it’s highly probable they will ask for reverification when it expires even though it’s illegal for them to do that. There are many threads about this headache on this forum. Save yourself this headache by making that trip to the SSA office.

  13. *** A duplicate thread has been removed; please post once per topic *** If your fiancé earns comfortably above the threshold I would just focus and provide your fiancé’s documents.
  14. Both threads had to do with income qualifications and tax returns are part of that. The threads will stay merged.

  19. *** Topic moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures *** There is not dependents for K1 as in you can’t “add” her to your DS-160. Each applicants needs their own DS-160 plus fee. I’m not sure regarding the interview part, perhaps reach out to the consulate and ask if both interviews can be on the same day (your interview date).
