  1. There’s no document submission for K1s at NVC. All you do is just wait for them to send it to the consulate which depends on the consulate backlog.
  2. ~~ Topic moved from Process & Procedures to Progress Reports ~~
  3. ~~ Topic moved from K1 forum to Tax & finances during US Immigration forum~~ Any reason you didn’t file MFJ?
  4. Yes. It can be either submitted together with other documents or you can complete it and send it at some point later after submitting the application.
  5. I-130 can be filed online but I do not recommend it for concurrent filing with I-485 because that (along with the I-765/I-131) are paper based only. It’s recommended to keep them all in one submission rather than separate them
  6. It seems you have already done this for your father also on a B2 visa back in 2018… nothing has changed in terms of the forms needed. Mail.
  7. That is not an exceptional circumstance. DCF are only granted for exceptional circumstances and this has been a case for several years now.
  8. ~~ Duplicate thread removed. Please don’t post multiple threads on same topic as that’s spamming ~~
  9. I remember someone mentioned that it’s good if they take longer to approve I-130 so that derivatives don’t age out.
  10. ~~ Topic moved from K1 fiancé visa forum to DV lottery forum ~~
  11. 15 years is optimistic. About 20 years until they’re invited for an interview.
  12. 12-14 months. already answered above. You should familiarize yourself with the visa bulletin.
  13. No. Their visa number is not available and won’t be for the next 15-20 years.
  14. Which non immigrant status are you trying to extend?
  15. ~~ Duplicate thread removed. Do not post multiple threads asking same or related questions as that’s spamming the forums ~~ ~~ Topic moved from CR1/IR1 spousal visa forum to AOS work/student/tourist visas as this is adjustment of status. Please post in a correct forum section to get accurate answers ~~ You need to give it some time. USCIS does not operate in a speedy manner. Most of the time it’s received in a week or two after NOA1, if it doesn’t come after 2 weeks after the notice, then you can request it.
  16. No, you can’t do that. You have to mail I-485 to a specific address depending on which state you live in now. Instead of speculating, why not just look up the correct address on USCIS.gov? Yes, she needs to go through a medical exam. You can choose to either complete it and mail it in with I-485 or send it in at some point later after filing I-485.
  17. ~~ Topic moved to AOS work/tourist/student visas ~~ So you didn’t also file I-485? This is one of the main required documents for adjustment of status. I-864 is to be filed WITH I-485 Again, these are to be filed with I-485. You can not file them under I-130 or without I-485. I-485 and accompanying forms can only be filed by mail. You can find the correct address on USCIS.gov.
  18. ~~ Topic moved to AOS work/student/tourist visas forum section~~ The path of least resistance and least stress is to submit a joint sponsor with a W2 job and whose income is well above the poverty guidelines. They can also be an LPR
  19. ~~ Topic moved from General Immigration discussion to USCIS forum as the question is specific to USCIS feature ~~ not accurate at all
  20. Was she told that directly by the US consulate in Lima staff? If not, then that’s not a good source. Current wait time to get a tourist visa appt in Lima is 346 days. Maybe that’s what’s what she’s referring to. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html
  21. Yes. The medical facility will want to see an interview letter (IL). And you do not want to book it as soon as you get the IL because medical exams have an expiration date of 6 months which is also tied to the visa expiration date.
  22. He will file one I-129f (child doesn’t need a separate petition, just list them in an appropriate section). Down the line, once the petition is approved and gets to the consulate, he will fill out & pay two DS-160 (one for fiancé one for child) and pay for two medicals.
  23. What you’re suggesting to do is immigration fraud - namely coming to the US on a non immigrant visa with an intent to adjust status to get a GC. Your only option is filing for a spousal visa. I’m sure everyone would want this. But we had to follow US immigration laws.
