Becker reacted to DaisyJ in U.K. CR1 Vaccination Requirements
I had to have a Tdap booster at the medical as my last was in 2008. They absolutely can give it to you then and there, and its £40 extra - MUCH cheaper than most travel clinics, I think even at Boots its £65, so agree to get it done there for sure, saves so much bother.

Becker you are allowed waivers for shots “not age appropriate” (Polio, Rotavirus, Hib, Hep A, Hep B, Meningococcal, Pneumococcal )
Waiver for influenza “not flu season” (exam before Oct 1)
Waiver for varicella “not readily available” (because they don’t give that in the UK)
So on Sept 29, that leaves you 2 jabs to prove you’ve had.
MMR (mumps/measles/rubella)
Tdap (Tetanus/diphtheria/ pertussis)
MMR you probably had as a baby
Tdap needs a Tetanus/diphtheria booster if your shot was more than 10 years ago. The booster they give in the UK is named Revaxis
The official information is found in the Technical Instructions for Panel Physicians. Get it from there instead of forums, then you are assured it is accurate. https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/vaccinations.html

Becker reacted to randy32 in Medical before October 1st
Medical before the 1st of October, you will be ok.
Worse case you will be asked about you vaccination status at interview.

My understanding is that you will need both injections before the medical will be considered complete and signed (for medical exams done on or after Oct 1, 2021).

I am not entirely sure I will make this batch but not yet! Frantically logging into CEAC too and still says it is at NVC

I’d also like to know this? Be easier to check CEAC instead of wait for an email if the website does update

Visa approved!
Appointment went very smooth. Embassy was not too busy.
Questions:
- when did you meet?
- when did you get married?
- where was your husband born?
- where is he living now?
- when do you want to fly ?
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
I wish everyone good luck!!

Yeah that sounds right! I didn’t really think there were more refusals I just thought maybe they are scaling down the amount of appointments going out. The number of K1s going up may be the reason!
it’s all mind blowing really. September interviews included DQ dates from late March all the way until mid June. Whereas before it was more of a monthly DQ basis.

Sorry I meant from May! Not June. My fault!
May has so many more approvals

Becker reacted to justkeepwaiting in London CR1 / IR1 Appointment Updates
I had my appointment at the embassy this morning 0930 and I was out by 1000, all very smooth and he said he would have approved it today if my medical results had arrived, so just waiting on that now.

Becker reacted to Marieke H in Question about proof of wedding
You are married, so the courthouse wedding obviously is sufficient.
I did the K-1, and during my visa interview I was asked about our wedding plans. I said we were just planning to do a courthouse wedding because the visa process and international move were stressful enough and we simply did not have the time and energy to plan for a huge wedding. The officer said she completely understood and probably would do the same, and that she hoped it would still be a special day for us.
At my AOS interview, we were asked about how we got married. My husband said, "at the courthouse, quick and easy". The officer laughed and moved on to the next question.
It really is no big deal. You got married the way that worked best for you. Just answer any questions they may ask, and don't stress about it.
(Just to add: in some countries/cultures it would be very unusual to have a simple courthouse wedding, and in those cases it might cause issues. But your profile says you are from England, so in your case it is not an issue.)

Becker reacted to Lucky2Lucky in Question about proof of wedding
The truth is sufficient. Plenty of people have a courthouse or justice of the peace marriage/ceremony when it comes to immigration. Don’t think too much into it. Good luck!

Step 2 - Registering Your Interview
After you have attended your medical examination, you should then register your visa interview through the Visa Appointment Service website at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv and follow these instructions:
Select “I have received a Consular interview appointment date from the National Visa Center (NVC), Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), or the Consular Section and I have been instructed to register my appointment on this site”; Follow the onscreen instructions to register an account; If your family members are applying under your case number, you may “add” applicants to your account after you have added your own details. You will be asked to select your delivery method for the return of your passport if your visa application is successful. Delivery to a courier depot is free. If you wish to upgrade to home/office delivery you can pay an additional fee through your account; Please go to “Print Instructions” in order to print your courier confirmation page. You must bring this with you on the day of the visa interview. You should also bring your appointment letter you received from NVC. For more tips and guidance, please see our instructional SlideShare presentation at http://www.slideshare.net/USAinUK/us-immigrant-visa-interview-appointments-scheduled-by-nvc
The above are the instructions posted on the embassy website

Did you get it expedited? Just asking as you’re the only June DQ date I see
-
Becker reacted to Wuozopo in London CR1 / IR1 Appointment Updates
No. Your petition was to USCIS (Dept of Homeland Security) and that ended when the petition was approved (NOA2) and handed off to NVC.
You started over with a new part of the government, the Dept of State, which issues visas. The embassy/consulate is also part of the State Department. They aren’t interested in your petition timeline.

Nope, no outside 'help' or expedited either. Just lucky I guess (and very happy!)

Becker reacted to EKT in Adding documents to CEAC AFTER approval
I’ve just reached the same conclusion about uploading once we have an interview date! We don’t want any delays at the other end.
Saw this yesterday with lots of relevant info:

Becker got a reaction from EKT in Adding documents to CEAC AFTER approval
I think if you are planning to use it as a plan b then I wouldn’t upload them to CEAC. But if you know you are definitely going to use them then upload them. I believe that any documents extra that are taken to the interview, it has a slight delay on your case as they need them on CEAC. So it’s your call really.
personally for me, I think I will wait until the interview is scheduled and then add the additional documents to CEAC at that point. Then I doubt there should be any delays. Sorry I know my wording is terrible but I hope it makes sense

Becker got a reaction from EKT in Adding documents to CEAC AFTER approval
We have two emails, documentarily qualified and notice regarding case, both on the same day.
I read somewhere that if we do take the joint sponsor forms to the interview, they may delay the visa approval as they are not uploaded to CEAC, is this true? Also, i do believe we may need a joint sponsor solely based on the three previous tax returns. All three previous ones for the petitioner were 12k or below due to mainly studying throughout those years. She now has a job worth 30k+ a year but that job literally started a week ago. We will bring the paystubs and new job offer to the interview too and that may lead to another question. Should we actually upload these to CEAC too since the job has changed from the one we actually uploaded?
