Submitted my passport application today. Unfortunately the USPS employee seemed to lack knowledge. I had printed the application with barcode to avoid any manual entries. But this employee wrote ' same' manually under permanent address even though the application asked to write only if it is different than mailing address. And she said it is required to put in another phone number apart from emergency contact number , so forced me to give her the third contact number which is my neighbours and filled in that also manually. Then drew a big scrratch line on the barcode.🙄. Stupid and Dumb if you ask me. And on top of all this she said they don't do 1-2 days shipping anymore for 17.30$ ( not same as expedited shipping at 60$) so I had to select normal free shipping.
Looks like I will wait for a very long time to get my passport now that everything will be manually entered since she put a dash on the barcode.
I ammnot even expecting tracking till 10 days at this point. Lol
Yeah, thats all wrong.
2 Day shipping is included, so no need to pay extra, mine was printed on Friday, I got it today.
Oh By the way on the Google sheet under "agency" that would be the agency that is handling your processing.
You'll need to call once you're passport is accepted, and ask which "agency" is processing youre passport.
We use that to track their speed. Yours most likely will not be Kansas City.
Im in Los Angeles, and my passport was processed in Connecticut.
Your status should be updated within 7 to 8 days online.

Filing online lessens the chance of mail disappearing.
You can upload anything you have pertinent.
You will be asked about marriage, and divorce, be ready to send the marriage certificate, along with the divorce papers that follow.

Hello everyone,
How is the service center determined when you file online? I dont live in a big city, and while there is an ASC center where we live, there is no field office for interviews and such. Will I have to travel to the closest one? In this case, it being San Antonio?
Thank you!

I think a guesstimate of six weeks would be what it would take.
Thats about right.
Should be faster now, as more agencies open.
What does the USPS know anyway.

Oh... Why is that?
Because USCIS is funded by application fees.
Actually almost double.
N400 will be $1170 as of October 2, 2020

Understand N400 applications will be 50% more soon.

mine processed at a phase1 location (El Paso). It took 5 weeks for them to process it.
5 weeks 3 days at phase two for me, so they are loading based on employee availability.

Called the #877 and they stated mine is at New Orleans Application Center which went to Phase 2 on August 24... Not really sure whether phase's matter, since the status on the webpage says my application will be reviewed when it hits Phase 3, but the guy on the phone said that that isn't the case and he's seen applications get processed from all different offices with all different phases.
Hoping I'm just a few weeks away from the center getting to my application.
Phases only matter in amount of employees available, and speed of processing.

I called this morning to get status update and spoke with a representative who had a very nasty attitude on the phone. i asked where my application is processed and she would not give me that information until i pressed her and told her this information can be provided as others were able to get it. She finally told me but it was not very pleasant phone conversation.
So tell us, what office??

Also may be they will not provide passport for certain ages like my parents who's ages are vulnerable, to avoid for travelling during this time of pandemic
That would be illegal.
Mine was approved!!! Im at a "certain" age!!

As of Monday, August 31, a total of 10 passport agencies and centers are in phase two, and 15 agencies and centers are in phase one of our three-phase reopening plan. Go to our Passport Agency and Center page for more information.
I read an article, that by mid September all offices will be open at least stage one, by beginning of October, all will be in stage two.
But I can't find it anymore,

Considering everything is pretty much virtual when it comes to government paperwork, the paperwork may be able to be transferred via email of internal systems.
Let me assure you it is NOT virtual.
During my interview, the USCIS officer had my complete file, consisting of ALL original documents, not printed copies.
I have spoken to people that have had their interviews rescheduled due to the file not arriving at the field office.

Use the google I added columns for approved and ship dates.
