Well so far I haven’t received anything. I’m so annoyed of the consulate doing nothing. I want to be home for Christmas.

Last Monday (of this week) I was keeping hope and therefore I decided to stay up until 2am as people who recently received an interview letters says they received it around 2am. I decided to try so I waiting on Monday and Tuesday, nothing came up. In a way I want to do the same for this upcoming week (if you are right) but I don’t want my hope to be trashed again. I’m the fourth one on the list, so I should hear in the Next interview letters. I really hope that I won’t have to wait until November to have an interview set for December I think it’s took long. I want to go back home so bad! I really hope they will schedule interview this week for the last 2 weeks of November.

I hope we will hear about interviews soon for November. We were already hoping to be back home in June. That didn’t work. So now we are hoping to be back home for Christmas. It’s just so long and giving us 2 days for November is not enough. We should have at least 6.5 days. Every Monday and at least the morning of every Wednesday. Like this they would have the afternoon for K1s. I want to see them work faster.

I hope this is only a theory and not real. I’m so tired of waiting, it’s been over 2 years. What I will say might sound harsh but I don’t believe K1 should have priority over spousal visa. I’m not doubting their relationship at all, I just believe that we have been in the process for a longer period, we should have priority. My process was delayed because of an uscis agent forgot one signature, took 4 months to get that signature. I have been patient. I was DQ on January 11, I just want my damn interview so I can go home. Spousal should be 100% prioritize over K1 visa. I’m just tired of not hearing anything. And when we start hearing something they give some interviews over 2 weeks and that’s it. I don’t think it’s okay. My husband and I are literally stuck here (Canada) waiting, during this time, neither of us can’t start our career (just graduated) and we are also waiting to be back home to be able to start having kids. I’m so tired and mad at the consulate.

As a Quebec resident, I tried to get it change as the law says that if we got married outside of Quebec we would be possibly allowed. I got married in Florida, but because my husband isnt a permanent resident and doesn't have an health card here, I can't add his name to my card (which is the only card that would have work with the married name to get a new passport). The province is so retarded (I'm from Quebec, I can insult it ahhaa) That since april 1981, no women is allowed to take the name of her husband as the province government doesn't want the women to be dependent of their husband.. okay maybe they were before, but c'mon stupid province evolve, let us choose. I hate my province and I can't wait to go away. 
 
On that note, no, no Quebec resident is allow to change their name for their husband name. I am planning to ask the officer at the interview what I can do as this is a problem for us, I really want to take my husband name and the province doesn't allow me. The whole process only took about 75 minutes. They asked for:
-birth certificate
-passport photos
-divorce decree
-marriage certificate
-police certificates (I had them for Canada, UK and UAE)
 
After the first window and taking biometrics, I was told to wait until I was called for the 'interview' portion.
 
Questions I was asked was:
-Where did you meet and when?
-How often did you see each other?  (since he was in the US and you in Dubai?)
-When did you get married?
-What husband does for a living?
-Is this both of your first marriages?
-Current US address 
 
Because my medical expires on October 16, he strongly advised me to pick up my visa in-person at the consulate, so I'll do that as soon as it's ready.
 
It was streamlined process all in all.
 

The person said end of October. They might be waiting to give us (spousal) more in November. They might be using october 28 for the new (P4) fiancé. Hopefully we will hear something next week!

Form 1099 are not required to be filed. I have the 1040 of each my co-sponsor and I’ll make sure to ask for their W2

I feel like many of us got the worst of everything. Stuck at Nebraska service center for over a year, just before they switch to electronic system. At NVC when they were at their slowest, finally DQd and then seeing people get through NVC in a matter of days. Finally in line for interview and Covid shuts down the embassy. I feel robbed of over 2 years of our lives because I am just like many of you and obsess over when it will finally happen. Being excited to cross out another day is no way to live. 

You need to make sure your car his made in North America otherwise you will have taxes on it. You need the car to be fully paid. And you need Volkswagen to send you a compliance letter mentioning that your car comply with the USA norms and regulations.

Strongly hoping MTL does a batch release sometime between the 12th & 14th to get another group of us another step closer to done...

New visa issuance stats are out, Montreal issued 32 IR1 visas in August! And only 2 CR1 but I guess that's because most of us level up during the wait.
