Well guys,
I just received a RFE from nvc after 9 weeks of waiting. My husband's part was invalid docs and my part was incomplete, but when I try to open my part it says application error..
I can’t see what's in there. I don't know what to do!

It depends about the country, they review people at the same country like a group. You will never know.
But most of people as I noticed wait 9 weeks, isn't that crazy?

Congrats to everyone that got DQed in this time, or at least was able to submit all documents to get the clock running!
I am so annoyed by this whole scenario. My husbands country is on lockdown, so he's unable to apply for the police certificate which is the last missing piece to submit our documents. Then even IF we get DQed at some point, and even IF the embassies open, we're facing the additional challenge that he needs to travel to a different country for his interview (the Embassy in Iraq is closed due to several attacks on the embassy in the recent past) and we don't know how soon travel will be allowed again without going in quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival, and return to the home country... argh!!!

Thank you so much TamMhmd!
Yes, it is actually not working. My husband called the nvc and the lady told him that this week the civil documents page is not working, she said last week the payment was not working.
So if anyone is struggling with the civil documents and it's giving them an error, it's because of this.
I hope they fix it soon!

Hi Springtime,
How super annoying
My husband (us citizen) had to upload his divorce certificate too and in his case, the document was 40pages long. Because we got married in France, we had to get an official French translation of it and there was no way we would pay for 40 pages of personal blabla. So we managed to get a shorter version (not easy I admit), but it worked. 3 pages.
Let us know. With the crisis accuring (almost) world wide, administration may tend to be cooler (let's hope) and so I'm sure you will get such a document.
Take much care,
Alix

Hi!
Try to change browsers and it takes a really really long time to appear. Check cookies, pop-up blocker and maybe just try to come back on at a different time. My husband and I struggle with this a lot too! Hang in there!

Thank you Tofu and alix64,
I uploaded on January 24. My husband's divorce decree is too long so he chose to not upload it, it's 40 pages he couldn't compress it to 2mb, so we got an RFE.

Hello guys, newbie here ! After reading your post for month I decided to share with you. My wife is french/american and I'm french, she lives and works in Atlanta Georgia. We got married in may 2018 and started the visa process in septembre 2018, our case was approved by USCIS a year after and sent to NVC in november 2019 (after they asked for a paper we had already sent before : marriage certificate). NVC started processing our case 12/05/19, second submission 01/29/20 (again for a paper we had already sent....) and I'm still waiting to get DQ. I know there is no real answer to this but, if there any logic in the way NVC handles cases ? According to your country or the center processing your file ? When I read that some get DQ after a month it gives me hope and despairs for my case at the same time 😔 I often feel that the process is longer for me but I'm sure we all feel the same, being sick of being separated from our loved one. We knew that it was gonna be long and hard but the lack of information and answers makes things worse day after day, and the covid situation is the last thing that could happened right now... I'm glad for all of you who get through this and hope to make it too ! Thanks for reading guys, all the best.

DQ!!!!!!!!!! Finally!
Second Submission January 20th
Without 5540
For cases like mine:
My husband is Brazilian and American. He has never lived or filed taxes in the USA. To facilitate our process, he moved to Florida a year ago and I stayed in Brazil. We made our process alone. We sent the I-130 and the I-129. We were approved in 3 months. When we arrived at the NVC, we knew about the complications of our case because we had no taxes from previous years. I submitted the documents in November even though I knew I wouldn't have everything. It was great by the way because my Brazilian certificate was new and it was not approved. I also made the mistake of sending the I-184 editable. In January when I received the RFE (certificate, new non-editable form and request from a joint sponsor), I sent again the form and certificate and also the income taxes of 2019, W2 and 1099.
We got a joint sponsor, but he was not able to deliver the documents to us yet. And thank God I didn't have to use them.
We received our DQ and we are very happy that in the midst of so much bad news, this phase we won!!!
Thank you all for your support and information.
Good luck and have faith!
😊🙌

To everyone concerned about how this virus will affect this visa process...know that the NVC is still currently reviewing and accepting documents. Don't give up hope and God willing everyone will get DQ soon! WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS. Most important thing right now is to get DQ. Try no to worry about embassies closing or cancelling appointments for the moment. We just need to get this virus under control, then things should, God willing, return to normal. Look at China for example, they probably didn't see an end in sight when this all started, but little by little, things are starting to improve over there. Our spouses may be far but if they are healthy, that is the most important thing right now. Stay strong, keep the faith and stay healthy, fellow VJ family!! We're so close!! Just. A little. More. ❤️
