Anywhere from 6 months to 2 years and maybe longer.

What do you mean? You should have received a 24 month extension letter. That, your expired gc and your passport should be enough.

There is no such thing as a "proper" green card. It's either expired or unexpired. Yours is expired, but like I said, you are good to travel with that one plus the extension letter. If they give you a hard time, point them to page 10 of the 2019 carrier guide

    You should join this thread:

Also when I joined the I-751 October 2021 thread I also lurked in the October 2020 thread to see what was going a year later. A year later it seemed about a third  of the filers had decisions or interviews. If you lurk in the October 2021 thread you will that about a third of us have decisions. October and November 2022  have been the most active months for our approvals.

Did you get your 24 month extension letter?

I think monthly trackers for I-751 are still a thing so you may want to check there what was the timeline for people who filed around when you did.

On average it takes from 6 months (lucky) to 2 years. Do not expect it to be a quick process.

You can check processing times using this page https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Everybody's case is different and will take different time to complete. Nobody can tell how long yours will take. Likely between 1 and 2 years from date of filing.

You can search forum month by month and see what happened to people who submitted their I-751 a year ago, for example:
    https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/86-removing-conditions-on-residency-general-discussion/

Your notice of action you received after filing I-751 extends the validity of your green card by two additional years from date of it's expiry.
You can travel with it and your expired green card together. You cannot travel just on extension letter or expired green card alone. If you lost your green card, you can ask for I-551 stamp in your passport from local field office. Those stamps are good for a year.

You can travel without issues with your expired GC and extension letter.  I would suggest you make a few copies of the letter as sometimes airline employees do not fully understand it and ask for a copy, but you need the original to present at CBP.  I would not worry too much about timing, after the biometrics, you are in for a fairly long wait.

One other items, assuming you meet the criteria, you can file for naturalization in about a year even if the I751 is still in process.

    Good Luck!

Myousaf got a reaction from Rajput Pakistani in 221g white paper is issued
hello.i have given my cr1 visa interview recently.i have everything proofs financial papers along with. they checked everything especially their main focus was on our relationship proofs. so they kept my passport my all marriage certificates and wedding pics as well.but they didn't tell me any reason for why they are issuing me white color code 221g paper and on that paper there's nothing they ticked which they want from us.only mentioned your case is in AP and you will be notified if any action is required. they have also kept all my orignal docs with my passport. they asked me few questions about our relationship and the Co was also noting it on a notepad about our relationship then on the same day in the evening they also called my spouse in US and then asked few questions about our relationship with her as well. my question is what they are trying to do and will they return my case back to uscis or what's going on with us? i am so worried and confused because they didn't tell me any reason or missing docs which they can demand. please help me. 😒

I answered that in my first reply.  They will consider everything in the financial package.  Another way of saying it is that they will consider the totality of circumstances.

No, the Pakistani Embassy will not consider it, because they aren't involved.  Your case will go to the Consular Immigrant Visa Unit of the US Embassy in Islamabad, where everything in the financial package will be considered. 😉  Note that an employed person does not qualify based on 2019 income from a tax return or ANY tax return.  Current income is the key.  How does the sponsor's stated current income compare to the 125%?  2019 income has little if anything to do with current income.

    Hello,

No ,vacations are not a reason for expedite .
financial hardship , medical reason etc could be but not the vacations .

you can try , it doesn’t cost a dime  but don’t expect too much .

Most consulates take into consideration only liquid assets.  The joint sponsor would need to be a USC or LPR.

Specific questions are probably better answered in the regional forum: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/91-asia-south/

You are not DQ until you give them everything they ask for and they review it again. Yes the wait time starts over again. You need a qualifying joint sponsor for the interview or else the officer is unlikely to grant a visa until you get said joint sponsor so you should submit one now

Actually, this message is a standard one, and is NOT a request to submit a joint sponsor.  The keywords are in the second sentence.  No consular officer is going to see the I-864 to make a judgment unless NVC sends it on.  They are sending it on.  The "delay" spoken of would be AFTER the interview, if there IS a delay in this case.

The petitioner needs to make certain they actually DO qualify to sponsor the immigrant.  If they have current income comfortably above the minimum, there's no reason to expect a problem.

This same message would be received if qualifying based on substantial liquid assets or if the latest tax return does not show sufficient income but the current income documentation is OK.

"To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted...."

This seems pretty clear from the NVC message you received.  Get a qualifying joint sponsor and upload their I-864 and supporting financial documents to CEAC if you don't want to delay your case further.

Again, if you want the petition to go to the consulate, you will need to update the information. Get a qualified joint sponsor.

Use I-864P as the guide and make sure that everyone that it immigrating is counted and yourself and household members are included.  Include any children of yours that you provide support to.

It could take a day, a week, a month or 6 months to review.

I'll put it another way.   If you don't give NVC what they ask for, the NVC will not schedule the consulate interview.

Upload it.  Or nothing will progress.
