Interview done 😎 just waiting on the oath ceremony to be scheduled
-
I was just reviewing my form and I think I screwed up on question 44 about being in the country between 18 and 26. I put No and I clearly was 😭 is this gonna be a problem?

Interesting. My interview is in a week also in Mt Laurel. I also have a name change so I’m wondering how long it’s gonna be to be scheduled for the oath ceremony

Yes, your GC will be taken during oath ceremony.
It's unlikely you'll have same day oath because of name change.
You can also apply for US passport with shorter timeline if you have a trip shortly after naturalizing.
The cruise is 13 days after the interview so I doubt I would have time to have my passport before the trip 😕

Question.
My interview is on April 15 and we have a cruise coming up on April 28. Since I have a name change I probably won’t have the oath ceremony on the same day. They take the green card on the oath ceremony correct?
What if I have the oath ceremony on the same day and they take my green card? 😐

Congratulations on the interview status !! I’m so happy for you!!! 🤗🤗 Your field office is basically where your case’s interview will be conducted. Where did you file from? What city/state?
That would be Mount Laurel, NJ

Hi, my husband as well. He applied 10/20 and application was received by USCIS On 10/26/2023 and still nothing… which is your field office ?
How do you see the field office?
I received my interview date, April 15th 🤩
Does anyone know if my husband has to go? It doesn’t mention anything in the letter

99% likely it's an automatic 48 month extension. Don't worry.
Yeah, it was that. That’s crazy! 4 years?? 😔

I’m getting a letter today but I’m not home so I won’t be able to see what it is until my husband tells me. I didn’t get any updates on my case so I’m wondering what the letter is about? 😰

So we just had our interview in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Interview was on time and the officer was really nice. I'm surprised how easy everything was. She went over the I-485 with me and the yes/no questions and then went over the I-130 with my husband. She took 3 or 4 pictures and then asked how we met and if there was anything we would like to say about our relationship. She also asked for any new documents and said that she would approve it today or tomorrow. 15 minutes later I checked the website and it said ''New card is being produced''.

And there are some cases (AOS) approved completely in 4 months, but that's not the normal procedure, It is the exception to the rule. The same happened with you. The minimum time to approve the EAD is 5 months, according to the normal procedure. We cannot count on our case being faster than normal.
What's the ''normal'' procedure?

4 weeks seems too long. A week after I got my EAD, I visited my local SSA office and they said DHS hadn't approved anything for me yet. I had to file there and they sent it a few days later.
I actually got my SS card yesterday. So 4 weeks
