  1. Confused
Vizaguy123 got a reaction from SalishSea in How am I supposed to complete I 134 affidavit of support for k1 visa?
So if I can't combine incomes then Is there even a point in me filling out an I 134 form? Shouldn't I just let my joint sponsor fill out the form for full sponsorship? It sounds like if I can't combine incomes anyway I might as well just not fill out the form with my name since I won't meet the income requirements anyway. Does that sound about correct? I'm sorry, I'm just trying to make sure I understand so I don't mess these last steps.

Okay so I'm just looking through this thread and so far it's some good info! I do want to know more about what the background checks consist of? I'm really concerned about my social media and whether I should make it more about me and my fiance being together and stuff. Do they check your Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc at least in this part of the process (before the ds160 interview)? Should I post more about my relationship on social media? (I'm really not that type of person 😂 but I guess If I need to do it to increase chances of success then I'll do it)

Our case got approved! It was approved yesterday. Super excited.

    NOA 1: April 7th, 2020

    NOA 2: December 31, 2020.

What happens next? We haven't received the actual notice in the mail yet that tells us what to do.

This isn't an answer to your question, but how do you know the amount of applications in that range and how do you see which ones are at which status? I would love to be able to see this info for the applications that are around my application number and mine is not within that range, it's further back (higher number of last 4 digits)

That seems likely considering mine is April 7th, a day after yours lol.

The processing times page allows you to see the estimated times for when you could expect to hear an update for your case. It basically is just a site that shows you what cases they're currently working on, and right now it says they're working on April 14th applications, so clearly they're not very accurate all the time. Admittedly, it is a strange time considering the pandemic and a new president coming into office in a few weeks. So those are probably a couple of the factors contributing to the slowdown in things getting done. This is the link to the website for processing times: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I'm glad that we're not alone. I have 19 days so we're also really close and thought I'd get an approval by now but I guess it's pretty normal to not hear anything until so close to the receipt date. It's hard to not check the processing time every day knowing that it'll only move up a day, but the wait will hopefully be worth it for us all.

If you filed for k1 then you filed with form i-129f  and your field office should be california then you get the results you seek.

Let's say it should be a safe thing to download straight from USCIS, fill immediately and check again if it's still up to date before sending.

My wife had the same situation in the Philippines. We put National Highway, Town,  Postal Code. Was not an issue. You might want to check on the regional forum in your country to see if things are mailed directly to the beneficiary by the embassy. In the Philippines everything is done by email/online.
