Hello, just a small update. Went for the interview at Montgomery AL at 2:30pm on March 5th. My husband (My petitioner) was called in first, and according to him all the interviewer wanted to do was to make sure that his answers matched our answers on our Adjustment of Status form and he gave the interviewer our updated Affidavit of Support (he quit his old job when I first came, and have found a new job since). We don't have any joint bank accounts or decrees whatever because of my SSN problem (look through my post history and you'll figure it out) so according to my husband, the interviewer asked to talk to my father-in-law as part of our relationship proof and he also handed him updated pictures of us. About 15-20 minutes later, I was called in to have my interview together with my husband. All he really did was reaffirm my answers on the paper vs in real life. Towards the end he said we were approved, and we saw him physically stamp our papers with the 'Approved' chop. Wasn't issued any approval letter either, just confirmation that the conditional green card would be issued in a couple of weeks. No updates on EAD, would be useless at this point. Cheers

    Congratulation!!!!

Your status should changed to approved soon.

I had my interview there in Montgomery AL at 230pm.

As of today this morning both of my cases I-130 and I-485 changed to "Case was approved"

  3. I had my interview yesterday in Montgomery AL,

Our officer approved us on the spot with 10 years green card because I have been married over 2 years. Well, an hour later my case status changed to "interview was completed but my case must be reviewed"

I have read on this forum how many cases has been waiting for a long time, so I got bumped out.

As of today 4:30pm my case status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"

I'm beyond happy and finally I can breath 😄

Sorry. I pressed send 2 seconds before you posted. Thank you!

It's ok, overall I had the best experience.

The location is easy to find, clean and not very crowned when I was there yesterday. My appointment was at 230pm but was called 10 minutes before my appointment time. Our officer was wonderful, nice and very friendly. We was in and out in 30 minutes but mostly we had to changed a few things on my application due to my husband military order. He asked questions that based off of our submitted applications, asked about if my husband still have the same job, to confirm my SSN. It was more like a conversation rather than interview. He approved us before even look into my prepared files and photo album lol. He explained to me how I don't need to worry about removing my card condition and that I will be receiving 10 years green card within 2 weeks time. He congratulated us and asked if we had any questions but we didn't.

    Hi everyone,

We had our Adjustment of Status interview yesterday at the Federal building in downtown Manhattan. Our interview was at 10:45am and by the time we found the correct entrance to the building it was 10:20am. We went through airport style security just like at the embassy in London. The New York, Brooklyn and Queens offices were all situated here so we followed the signs to the New York office on the 7th floor. After checking in where they stamped my interview letter, took a photo and my fingerprints, we were given a letter and number and told we would be going through door #1 (there are 2 doors).
It was fairly busy and we waited for almost 2.5 hours before being called (by our letter and number). You are greeted at the door by the officer who will be interviewing you.

We had a male officer who was friendly but very professional. We walked to his booth and were asked to put all our stuff down and stand to swear in. Then we sat and he asked for our IDs (original copies) and marriage certificate (original copy). we couldn't find my husband's original birth certificate but we had a photocopy luckily which the officer accepted especially as we had his passport. Once he verified all of that he went through my K1 paperwork and asked questions from the forms. He asked me my husbands mum and dad's names, my husbands DOB and where he was born.
The officer then asked to see what evidence we had of shared documents. We don't actually have loads but we pulled out all of our shared medical coverage, joint credit card statements, PayPal transactions as that is how I pay my share of the rent to him (it works for us) and also a letter from his mum who we live with to say we live in her apartment. He then went through the AOS paperwork and asked my husband questions like my parents names, my DOB, where I lived, what job I did, he asked me what job he did and where his office is located.
He asked my husband questions about the wedding, how many attended, where it was, if we had a reception and where and if we had a honeymoon (we didn't have a honeymoon). He asked when and how we met, our first date. He asked how long we had been dating. He asked him about the engagement how it happened and where, my husband got the first bit right but then his mind went blank as he was nervous and couldn't remember when it happened, he of course knows this but he was a bit frazzled from all the questions he got. The officer was really nice and helped him out a little and he said after you have been together a while everything kind of merges into one which we laughed and agreed. I felt really bad for my husband as I could see he was beating himself up over it (and still is).
We then handed over our 2 photo albums (one was photos prior to my move and one was from when I moved until now), he asked my husband who was in one particular photo and he named them all. He then went through the photos and selected a few to keep (he asked if that was ok). He then asked me how much our rent is.

He then went back through the AOS paperwork and asked me all the questions like security etc. he took my UK police certificate which he joked looked a lot nicer than US ones and he took some various other paperwork. He said he is going to get everything in the system and it will go under review and we should receive the card in 2-3 weeks then we corrected himself and said of course if it is in your favor which we all kind of nervous laughed to lol. He gave us a pieve of paper with the top box ticked to say it was under review and how long it takes etc. Our status on the website has changed to interview was complete and my case is under review.

I believe he was a newer officer from all the questions he asked and he made a couple of mistakes like he questioned why we only had one year of joint taxes (2019) then he was like ohhhhhh yeah you have only been married for a year and joked that he was just testing I was awake lol. Also I think it needs to be reviewed by someone more senior and he wasn't sure about a couple of things that my husband asked and needed to get it checked.
The interview took about 35 minutes and now it's back to waiting, I was exhausted after and could have slept all afternoon but I had to get back to work.

Feeling nervous about the update with it being under review as others have been approved on the spot but I guess each case is different?! Feeling a little anxious

    Any updates on your case?

Yayy interview completed today! He gave us our approval letter at the end!

    appt 10:30 am

Arrived to check in by 10:29 lol (security check took a bit but the guards assured us we were ok, looking for parking took a bit since the lots were full during that time)

got called close to 11 and was told to go to a different room down the hall

the officer called us about 15 minutes later and I was able to go with him

    interview was pretty relaxed

the officer spoke a lot so it took out the pressure, pretty friendly actually!

he scanned our insurance cards for the file took some pictures that we printed out from the file he arrived to last week

when he got back he handed our passports and a paper showing congratulations!

asked if we had any other question just reminded us how we can take out the conditional on the GC and we were on our way!

    Out by 12:10 pm

    Now lunch time!

    Los Angeles, CA

I had my interview today at 230pm in Montgomery AL.

Our office was very friendly and it was of a conversation rather that interview. He asked questions based off our applications that we had submitted. He verbally approved as and stated that we should be receiving our 10 years green card since I have been married over 2 years and it should be arriving in 2 weeks. He didn't give us any paper just congratulating us right before we leave his office.

About an hour after our interview, my case status online changed to "interview completed but my case must be reviewed"

I want to celebrate it but I don't feel like its the right time yet until I actually get the approval status.

What is your current on your case status online after your interview?

My interview in is a week, I'm excited and anxious here.
I'm married to my spouse almost 3 years now, he's a Air Force service member. We got ordered to Little Rock AR so it has been very stressful with finding a new home, moving and getting everything I need for the interview.

    So far I have gathered,
    - Our new home lease.
    - Joint Bank accounts.
    - Joint Credit cards.
    - Car insurance.
    - Health insurance.
    - Phone account.

Our pictures with friends and family, our tickets traveled to see his family and see each other when he's out training.

Is there anything else I should prepare for my interview? What should I wear?
    TIA
